RUDEBOY_ParticipantESPN’s Mark Stein is reporting that the New Orleans Hornets will shelve center Chris Kaman until they can find him a new home, becuz they dont want to risk him getting injured..Trading him even with a 14 million dollar expiring contract will be hard..GM Dells said they wanted to resign him,but decided to go with the younger players after the much improved play of Jason Smith and the team likes what it has seen in rookie center Gustavo Ayon… The nba trade deadline is March 15,the team doesnt know if they will trade him before then…

Da1potParticipantI’d say he is a good fit in Boston, Miami or Dallas….. I find it hard to believe that a lot of teams will not be heavily interested in his services and expiring contract.
Adrian Wojnarowski says this on his Twitter though:
As NBA/Hornets survey trade market for Chris Kaman, Rockets, Pacers, Jazz, Spurs are a few teams with interest, sources tell Y!

M-DYMESParticipantI wouldn’t mind seeing Kaman in Minny for Beasley.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantSpurs need him,but what can they offer? Will the Hornets take Richard Jefferson and the rookie from Texas?
Hibbert has been playing well why r the Pacers going after him? And the Rockets have Dalembert..
Boston needs him,but what can they offer?
It seems the Hornets want young players and draft picks…
I ‘ve been impressed with Ayon, he’s seems more skilled then i thought …

RUDEBOY_ParticipantJason Smith has expanded his game this year, he’s been playing physical inside, rebounding a little better and blocking shots….And not relying on shooting jump shots anymore…

RUDEBOY_ParticipantIf he goes to Minn, they’re going to have to include another team…

Mr. 19134ParticipantSixers should get in the hunt with a contending who’d be willing to take on Iggy and trade young assets to the Hornets so Kamen can come to Philly. The Sixers need a reliable Center and tho Vucevic shows a ton of potential he’s still atleast a year away and Hawes seems to have chronic back problems. Plus Iggy’s services are no longer needed with Turner’s emergence and we also could use his expiring contract.

db24kb24ParticipantThey know he’ll get hurt so they sit him haha…sad but true. Charlotte should have did the same with Maggette

Bmore_DCParticipantthe minny trade makes a lot of sense…
i would like to see him go to the spurs tho, although i doubt they have much to trade

thparadoxParticipantI don’t see him in Minnesota, Indiana or Utah, none of those make sense. Minny should stay young and unless they can trade for a star, Indiana has hibbert, Utah is set with big men, if anything Utah should be trading away a big.
I think the 2 viable options are San Antonio and Boston. Boston could really use a big guy to rebound and block shots. Splitter is playing well in San Antonio, but again, they really need size.

BrentSuriaga01ParticipantI think they should deal him to the Jazz. For Devin Harris

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantIt would stand to reason that Houston will throw the lottery expirings of Thabeet, T. Williams, and Flynn along with a pick in order to get him. The only good it would do New Orleans is to give them a third first round pick, but that is probably what they will be looking for.

M-DYMESParticipantKaman still is relatively young. Many people don’t realize that. Judging from his looks, you can’t really blame them though.
