    Hornets:

Collison wasn’t that good. He was a little wild in his shots. Has explosive speed and can drive and dish. Played solid D. Needs to work on his shooting still though. Was a little shaky as a decision maker too at times. He’s best suited as a great backup than as a starter, and this game didn’t change my stance on that.

Marcus Thornton slashed and shot it today, but he was a little shaky as well in terms of how efficiently he went about scoring. He is more athletic and quick than he’s credited for. He showed the same explosive scoring ability at the SG spot, and can definitely light up the scoreboard. Best as a 6th man though.

Craig Brackins had an OK game, showed some good and bad. We all know he can face up and post a little, but he’s not polished at either just yet. Needs to polish both aspects of his game, and he missed some easy baskets around the rim too. Has the talent and figures to play some immediately, but he needs polish.

Quincy Pondexter showed the ability to defend, slash a little, and knock down spot ups. He’s a Mikael Pietrus clone. Figures to get time next year, but he needs to clean up his handle to play more than 12-15 mpg.

    Warriors:

Reggie Williams was impressive. Really nice wing scorer, and can make tough shots. Can get to the rim and score or make jump shots. Bad defender though. He’s a success story.

Brandan Wright had a good game for his circumstance. He scored and showed some face up and post skills. Nice shot-blocking and rebounding too. Needs to get stronger, and struggles with contact still. He’ll be forced to play some though this season, but he doesn’t figure to play much though.

Nope he didn’t. Which sucks, but I can understand why he didn’t. Don’t wanna risk an injury to your best player

still dont know why you dont see collison as a starter. He struggled a little but he got wherever he wanted on the court. This one game doesnt change the numbers he put up last season as a rookie.

This game wasn’t what I based my opinion off of. I just don’t think he can be a starter on a good team. It’s easier to put up numbers on a bad team that you can do whatever you want on, than it is to actually lead a team and make them a winner. I don’t see Collison being a starter in the NBA for a truly good team night in and night out, unless that team has a bunch of high level shot creators aorund him

but he was arguably their mvp. I mean west wasnt as productive as normal. After him, they had a bunch of role players like okafor, thornton, posey, songaila. I cant blame the record on collison unless you are also gonna put that same tag on curry, evans, flynn and holiday.

If you think he is a backup cool, cant really argue until we see it out there more consistently. I think he is gonna prove to be a steal from last years draft.

Collison can be a very good starter in the NBA. Period.

Whiteside played pretty good. He was unselfish and looked a little more like a PG than he has in the past. He’s quick too, but he only played OK D.
