RekeDMCParticipantKings trade away:
-#5 draft pick
-#33 pickHornets trade away:
-#11 draft pick
-Darren CollisonI recently read an article that discussed the possibility of New Orleans trading away Collison since they really don’t need him with Chris Paul. Also, it seems as though Xavier Henry would be a better fit with the Kings than Cousins or Aminu, and Monroe seems a bit too soft, so the Kings have room to move down. This way, the Kings get a wingman and a solid point guard, while New Orleans gets a higher draft pick that they can use to draft either Aminu, Cousins, Johnson, or Monroe, depending on who is available, as well as another draft pick that they can use, if they choose, to draft a replacement to Collison like Crawford or Warren, or perhaps an entirely different position. Just an idea, what do you guys think?

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantThe Hornets are not going to trade away Collison for a player that might help them…. he would easily be the 2nd best pt. guard in this draft. Do you think they would trade him essentially to move up 6 spots in the draft?

RekeDMCParticipantWell when you put it that way, i doubt they will. The only way this trade would work then, is if the Kings add a player, maybe Francisco Garcia or Spencer Hawes. But then I would doubt Geoff Petrie would do it. I guess Kings fans can just hope Petrie takes the risk with Cousins.

BlazermannParticipantimma say this idea is not a bad since would help both teams and i believe collison can play with tyrek since he can shoot and doesnt need the ball often but i believe he is at his best with ball in is hands ………………………… chris paul needs a sidekick asap so the hornets should trade collison and cash for the 10 pick and a bench player from the pacers since they are looking for a point guard and draft a wing play like pual george or xavier henry or maybe both or even draft a big like whiteside and a wing like paul george lol

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantIt’s almost like I came up with it…Collison for the 10th would allow the hornets to get a guard like George or Henry and and get a bigman…If Babbit is their at 11… he and Henry would be HUGE….if the Jazz pick him get Udoh or Patterson…Maybe even Whiteside…it could be like Tyson and Paul 2.0 on the oops…Henry and Babbit are the home run picks…

JoppersThis trade does not make any sense for both the Kings and Hornets organizations.
Geoff Petrie, General Manager of the Kings has clearly stated that he intends to use Tyreke as a PG to maintain his size mix-match and a stronger, more physical lineup. Also, why would the Kings give up the pick that is supposed to revitalize their franchise and get them into the playoffs?
