Let’s say the Philadelphia 76ers stay towards the bottom on the standings and the Lakers don’t make vast improvement either this year…Both picks land in the Top 7 (76ers get the 3rd pick, Lakers land in the 6th spot in this Scenario)

Who would you take/target with 2 Top 6 Picks if you’re the GM in Philly

Let’s pretend Smith Jr. and Fultz are gone though, who do you take at 3? Who do you target at 6?

whom at this stage Id take over Fultz and most likely Smith too at 3. If Simmons is the player hes billed to be(come) the point guard position is a luxury you dont have to worry about as much as other teams. Jackson is the type of scorer that could help Simmons and co. I think in this year at Kansas he will learn to play off the ball a lot better.

6 id probably trade unless somebody comes out of nowhere (as they do every year ). that pick has high value still at 6

I’ve said this numerous times – Jackson is the best player in this draft and a game changer. I think Jackson will end up off the board but for the sake of your question (which would be a gift to the Sixers), i’d take Jackson and either Lonzo Ball or De’Aaron Fox, preferbly Fox.

You’d have a future superstar in Jackson, as well as a scoring guard. All three of those players have the eye of the tiger.

     Plus 1…

Keep the conversation going, what if Jackson is gone, who do you think is most likely to be there at 3 between Smith and Fultz…

As crazy as this may sound to most, I’m not a huge fan of Fultz. Maybe his freshman year at Washington will help change my opinion, but until then I’d have him behind some of those other guys. But that’s just me. Smith’s year at NC State is even more important because scouts will want to see how his knee holds up.

Maybe trade back & take Malik Monk….. but if Harry Giles is 100% he Will go in the top 3 but I’ll play your game Philly fan…..

If Jackson is gone & you have the #3 & #6 pick that means either Fultz or Smith is still there….. but I’m guessing that you are looking for what if Fultz, Smith & Jackson are gone & you have #4 & #6??? BTW that would KILL me as a Lakers fan but here goes……. I Luv Johnathan Isaac’s long term upside at the 3/4 spot…..

but w/ the Sixers you need 2’s & 3’s…… DeAaron Fox & Jayson Tatum would be an Incredible upgrade considering Fox is a Defesnive Beast who can shoot or run the point when Simmons needs a blow….. & Tatum has a sweet mid – range game that would fit…….It’s clear Simmons is going to be your PG & he is a Special kind of Freak talent.

But honestly for Philly, if Josh Jackson is available you Have to take him – he is a Super Star & I think he’ll go #1 overall – he’s just too good. If Giles is healthy the top 4 will be Jackson, Giles, Smith & Fultz – not sure what order. But Josh Jackson at the SG or SF w/ Simmons as that Point PF w/ Embiid at the C – Wow that’s a special foundation right there – Crazy athleticism w/ Monster size & length

W/ Simmons out & Embiid on a minutes restriction I think you guys are a Lock for the worst record again.

BTW Embiid & Saric looked so good last night – Embiid was rusty as old nutz & Boston was still forced to Double & then Triple team him before the 1st qtr ended – pretty Amazing – that kid is going to be a Monster

I’d consider Lonzo Ball. With both Ball and Simmons on the floor, it would be impossible for the offense not to embrace an unselfish identity.
