HIstory could be made this year
Yes Araujo was a senior. The point of this post is that the first senior taken in each draft has always been picked in the first 12 selections and that may not happen this year.
was drafted by tor. 9th pick overall he played his college ball at BYU. He was considerd a bully and to strong for his all good. A player that fouled allot and had a history of fouling a little to hard. Haffa enterned the league as a number 9 pick in the first round selected by toronto. He played two seasons with toronto. The utah Jazz selected a power forward from minnesota that was a freshman of the year averageged 24 ppg. 10 rebs. a game in the same year at 14th overall. He played two years with Utah. Both franchises decided they needed a change. Tor. wanted this Kris Humpries that showed a little more potential playing with the utah jazz. The only season in the last 20 years that the utah jazz has had a lossing season. Tor. decided the Jazz need a another banger a "tough guy" Araujo was not that he came to utah as an over prized scared brazillian that was affraid of contact. Not at all what we all witnessed at BYU. Humphries is still with toronto as a 9th or 10th player of the bench.

No draft has ever seen the first college senior come off the board later than the 12th pick. (This happened twice-last year with Jason Thompson and in 2002 with Melvin Ely.) If Tyler Hansbrough doesn't go to the Nets at 11, it seems that the first senior could be drafted at the lowest pick ever. Terrence Williams also has worked out with the Nets but it seems like that's too high for him.
