I did a historical draft analysis dating back to 1973.

I’ve always wanted to see success of different types of prospects conditional on when they were drafted.

So for example you could do all your outcomes seperately for European vs US born players conditional on position drafted. I imagine it’d be pretty easy to get birthplace from the basketball reference data. There’s this narrative that European players are more likely to bust, for example, so you could see if that’s supported in the data.

You could also do it by years in college or position. I imagine there’s a mean-variance tradeoff for alot of positions that would be interesting to see.

Anyways, really cool stuff! Good job!

Maybe I will need to add some conditions like the ones you mentioned. Thanks
