markfitz14ParticipantHield has skyrocketed up boards with his tournamnet play. He is #3 on the board at draft.net now. This guy has shown that range that teams really want in the NBA right now. 3pt shooting is so important to spread the floor right now I really think his skill set is going to translate very well to the NBA. He gets knocked becuase he is 22 yrs old where as some other guys in the top of the draft are younger and could have more potential. I would say that I actually like the fact that he has shown the ability to put the hard work in to improve. It shows that he can learn well from the NBA coaches. I really like a guard who can score and for that I think he is deserving to be the first Guard of the board.
What do you think Hield’s potential is in the NBA?

alex23ParticipantHis ceiling is Michael Redd. Solid second option for a good team.

holefillers1ParticipantI love the Redd comp. I say his game will end up being somewhere between Jodie Meeks and Micheal Redd

DunksNJordans23ParticipantI don’t have a player comparison for him (or any player) because quite frankly I find player comparisons ignorant, like why can’t Spud Webb be the first Spud Webb or what was Michael Jordan’s player comparison? God?
I will say this, Buddy Hield’s contribution and role as a player will probably be an average starting SG at best that can shoot it from long range, but would be better served as a 6th/7th man that can just be given the green light to shoot at will, especially when he is in a good groove.

TarHeelRavenParticipantHe will have a long NBA career. He is a high character guy that is an elite three point shooter. His athleticism is average for the NBA but his work ethis is off the charts. He won’t be a star, but he’ll be a solid guy off the bench to start and coulod become a god starter somewhere down the line.

nill650Participanti think the oklahoma teams reliance on him throughout most of the season and tournament and the fact that he did not get it done when it mattered most against the much better team in nova definitely hurts his stock as a high draft pick, but at the least it will make him work even harder, test his resolve.
that being said i think his skillset and shooting ability are currently being ripped becuase he choked on the biggest stage of his life he is not a likely star in the league in the fold of a harden or curry unless he is on a team in the lottery with an established true point guard like the kings at 7 but i see him likely dropping back to reality and probably going 10 to denver where he and mudiay should make a good back court
