aamir543Participant^It’s obviously a current poster that doesn’t like the current comparisions. I swear there is at least 1 thread a week complaining about the comparisions.

NiceWithTheRockParticipantDwight howard to a more talented Kwame Brown? ?That’s still a steep, steep, steep, steep dropoff. Steep.

princejamesParticipantI live in the washington dc area and watched kwame brown play alot earlier in his career with the washington wizards. And at times he showed alot of promis and potential, which was why he was drafted with the number one pick. Back in the day with the wizard he was a great run&jump athlete with a very quick first step off the dribble, had a great body with a muscular 7 foot frame. and showed alot of upside as passer, defender, rebounder and post up threat. Kwame Brown is a great example of a player who had alot of talent, but just did not know how to maximize his abilty through the utlization of developing a higher basketball I.Q. Because to be a great basketball player you have to be a great thinker combined with a very good skill level. ( Added with a touch of toughness, confidence, fearlessness, and perseverance)

NbanflguyParticipantHow can someone be compared to Andre Iguoadala AND Corey Brewer?
One is an all around all star, the other one is a draft bust who has no offensive game at all

aamir543Participant^I believe he was refering to the defensive abilities, both are good defenders, Iggy is better at that, and evrything else.
When people make comparisions, it’s generally based on the playing style rather than exact production. That’s why you can compare someone to Jared Bayless/JJ Barea, undersized scoring guards, but not Cousins/Monroe, great future centers, but one plays below the rim and the other above, or at least plays with the type of athleticism that you need to play above the rim.

Memphis MadnessParticipantPerry Jones = Danny Granger/Rudy Gay
I think that a while back Perry Jones was compared to Tracy McGrady.
I still think that that is possible. PJIII on his game would like a good T-Mac.
When Jones plays bad it is like when T Mac has an off night– disengaged, a little lazy,
and missing his shots.I am trying to think of a good comparison for Jared Sullinger. A bigger Corliss Williamson?
Sully should be a good scorer and rebounder on the next level. He’s a good power forward with a
nice touch. What about a Terry Cummings comparison? … I think that Sully would be great on the Kings.
He would be a good complement to Cousins since he can score, shoot, help out on the boards and provide leadership.
I think that the Kings are set on the perimeter and just need a consumate power forward, and enough time to mature and grow as
a team.0 - Posted on: Tue, 03/27/2012 - 3:38pm #652084
F_DA_POParticipantWhat makes Perry Jones comparable to Rudy, Danny or T-Mac? Rudy and Danny Granger did a lot better in college than Perry Jones. Every NBA prospect shows flashes. Perry Jones = Anthony Randolph, the king of showing flashes, but then looking like garbage / immature most of the time.

Memphis MadnessParticipantRudy Gay wasn’t really a superstar in college either. I think he kind of dropped in the draft too.
I compare Jones to those 3 guys because he is a good scorer with range, and a great athlete. He drifts at
times too kind of like T Mac.Now if Perry Jones had focus and a killer instinct every night to go with his size, range, and talent, I would compare him to
Kevin Durant but I don’t see it.… A borderline all-star who at times plays brilliantly is probably the best guess for PJIII’s NBA career.
