I’ve watched the 2017 AfroBasket (won by Tunisia) and I have found out a player, who should be on the draft boards, Congolese center ’96 Herve Kabasele Kasonga (6’10, 210). He led the competition in blocks and dunks and averaged around 15 ppg 7 rpg along with 3 blocks.

    Here’s some of his highlights:

Interesting player youve found here. Ive never heard of him. Right off the bat you can see he fits the physical and athletic profile. Listed as 6’9 and seems to be around 240. His wingspan is serious but the one thing that stood out to me was his shoulder width. Hes not just long and skinny. Stats are decent but Congo finished 7th, he shot 40% from FT and didnt dominate the glass. The talent pool wasnt the greatest as Ike Diogu finished as the tournament MVP and Gorgui Dieng was probally the best player in the tournament but it seems like he maybe the next prospect to have his listed age ridiculed and disputed.
