Here's a list of who collectively made $600 million last season
This list is long, but not as long as I imagined it would be.
Salary numbers and weird comments are in my blog http://chickennoodlehoop.com/2013/09/01/heres-a-list-of-nba-players-who-...
But here's the list while trying to take up as little space as possible:
Gilbert Arenas, Amar’e Stoudemire, Joe Johnson, Andrew Bynum, Rudy Gay, Derrick Rose, Brandon Roy, Elton Brand, Carlos Boozer, Baron Davis, Eric Gordon, Emeka Okafor, Danny Granger, Andrew Bogut, Ben Gordon, Kris Humphries, Hedo Turkoglu, Monta Ellis, DeAndre Jordan, Corey Maggette, Richard Jefferson, Stephen Jackson, Andrea Bargnani, JaVale McGee, Gerald Wallace, Andris Biedrins, Jameer Nelson, Mo Williams, Rodney Stuckey, Devin Harris, Brendan Haywood, Marvin Williams, Lamar Odom, John Salmons, Charlie Villanueva, Tyrus Thomas, Caron Butler, Kendrick Perkins, DaSagana Diop, Beno Udrih, Metta World Peace, Trevor Ariza, Andray Blatche, Josh Childress, Samuel Dalembert, Drew Gooden, Al Harrington, Glen Davis, Landry Fields, Fransisco Garcia, Luke Walton, Brandon Bass, Michael Beasley, Darko Milicic, Daniel Gibson, Marcus Camby, Wes Johnson, Hakim Warrick, Ryan Gomes, Joel Anthony, Gerald Green, Johan Petro, Raja Bell, Jan Vesley, Kwame Brown, Nolan Smith, Fab Melo, AND....Hasheem Thabeet.
even if he plays for no discount it will screw the Lakers for years!
Record-wise, most likely. That's if he gets another max contract. Max contract or not though, he'll still be a cash cow.
It's not hard to randomly pick a list and say they made a lot of money when the average salary is over $5 million. Not sure why anyone waste time making that list, reading it, or posting it here.
Welcome to the NBA off-season. :)
Not sure why DeAndre Jordan is on this list.
I'd pay Larry Sanders 10-11 million over DeAndre Jordan any day.
This is just a list of like 70 guys who make average around $8.5 million each. We know basketball players make a lot of money. This seems a little pointless.
Basically it was how many players' paychecks probably gave owners headaches last season.
It was out of sheer boredom, looking around for players with albatross contracts who just didn't perform to their pay, then looking at players who missed most or all of the season due to injuries and then amnestied contracts, other smaller bad contracts, etc.
How much money is really paid out with disappointing returns seemed interesting so I looked at just last season's salaries. The total number's definitely debatable. Some other players could be included and others could've been left off.
Emeka Okafor is making more this year alone than Matt Barnes has made in his entire career up to this point
