I think it is good to measure COLLEGE players to use as a GUIDE when drafting. Charles Barkley was 6’4” ,6’5” and was a hall of fame PF who averaged about 12 rebound per game and over 20 points. Once a guy is in the league 2 or 3 years , measurements dont matter. Do you think that there is a GM out there who is saying " i dont want Dwight Howard because in high school he measured 6’9” without shoes"?
I don’t understand this post.
Captain Obvious here, people get heights and weights before the draft because at that point teams are making educated guesses on which prospects will be good NBA players. Once they’ve proven that it’s irrelevant, just ask Chuck Hayes and Jason Thompson.
