Mr.Knick 32ParticipantTwo Questions
– What if Hedo signed with Portland over Toronto last season?
– What do you expect from him this upcoming season?
I wanna see some ideas before I post mine.

td8118ParticipantThe injuries would have kept them from being a title contender last year but if he would have signed them i think they are the 2nd bet team in the West….He would have been a perfect fit for that team
I dont think he will do great with the Suns this year….I think they wont make the playoffs

RUDEBOY_ParticipantHedo started off great with the Kings..Won 6th man of the year..
Sucked with the Spurs…
Played so well with Orlando..That some said he should’ve made the All-Star team in 2009..
Sucked with Toronto..So according to His record
he has been up & down ..good with 1 team…then bad with the next..Then good..then bad..
He has kept up a pattern…So he’s suppose to have a great year in Phoenix….

butidonthavemoneyHedo will help the Suns a lot more than people think. He won’t be an all-star or anything, but I see him averaging 16 or 17 points a game (somewhere around 45 or 46% from the field). He gives them another great shooter and another cog for their already great ball movement.
I expect the Suns to be highly competitive for a playoff position, but as always, there is a lot of competition in the West.

butidonthavemoneyAnd to answer your first question: no.
Hedo would not have been a good fit in Portland. Portland needed defense more than inefficient scoring, clutch shooting, or another playmaker. Andre Miller wasn’t a good sign either. Like most of my fellow chums in Portland, I thought Kirk Hinrich or Tayshaun Prince would have been the best fit.
In hindsight, Hinrich would have been the most help.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI dunno. I think Hedo would have been the perfect 6th man for the Portland team. He and Bayless would have played greatly off each other. I think had Hedo picked Portland over Toronto, Portland would have been a top 4 team and then this season, they would have been a potential #2 seed.

OhCanada-ParticipantKnicksboy, Hedo wouldve sucked worse in Portland. They usually run their offense through Roy, then Aldridge. He needs to be the guy to be successful. Turkoglu woud once again be playing off the ball, bad defense, out of ryhtm and missing shots. Seriously McMillan wouldve benched his ass from the beggining, Triano didnt have the balls too bench him until it was too late. he dogged it all Season, and everytime media would get on him or he would get an injury he would whine and complain like a little girl in a school office. When your making 10 Mil to play basketball a little effort would be appreciated. In Phoenix he should be alot better since they are makng him a big part of the offence as a Point Forward.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantUh, not really.
Hedo would have been the 6th man in Portland. Toronto GAVE him a starting job. Hedo would have had all the scoring off the bench. I think that would have kept him looking to earn more PT. He’s also a good playmaker. Hedo and Roy would have been good for each other. Hedo doesn’t need to the ball to be effective. He can play the point forward role and Roy could either be the scorer or Roy passer/Hedo scorer.

OhCanada-ParticipantKnicksboy, dont be defensive. Im telling you Turk wouldnt have worked hard. He would not have been an effiecent 6th man at all. Especially with Batum, Webster, Roy, and Outlaw on those wings with him he would not be happy. He would slack off and complain. He wouldnt get the touches he wants and wouldnt be effiecient. Whether he plays off the ball as a starter, or off the ball from the bench, it doesnt matter. Trust me Hedo needs the ball to be effective, he needs it badly or else he fades away and gets out of the game.

Cardinal_FanParticipantI think he would be unhappy in Portland just like Rudy Frenandez is now. Hedo likes 2 do alot of ball handling, and Brandon Roy already does and of course you have Andre Miller who does also. I think he will thrive in Pheonix an make it easier on Nash and will be able to set Nash up to score the ball a lil more. He could be another play maker/scorer that they need.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI’m not getting defensive. Just making my point.
Portland would have paid Hedo 10 mil, he would have been higher on the depth chart then all those players but Batum. He would have been the 6th man getting like 30mpg (26-28mpg with the Camby addition) He slacked off in Toronto, I will say that. That’s because he didn’t need to try. In Portland, they make players earn PT. Also, McMillian would have more of a connection with Hedo (being former NBA players, it just works that way) and would have gotten more of Hedo I believe.
I saw Raptor games when Hedo actually tried. He had a couple 15 rebound games and 10 assists games. He wasn’t playing well all the time but he didn’t cave the WHOLE season. You paid him 10 mil to be a #2 and he wasn’t he’s a #3 guy. In Portland, he would have been used in that sparkplug role off the bench.

OhCanada-ParticipantTurk sucks, Phoenix doesnt make the playoffs unless someone else steps up. Orlandos success had nothing to do with Turk. Orlando’s success is credited to key role players, a defensive C, and 3 point shooting.
