Lotto StudParticipantSo already it has been said by quite a few of you including a Sixers fan SMH that they will get swept by the Heat. I do not believe they will get swept at all, I have them winning at least 2 games, they may steal one in Miami. My key 2 X-Factors for the Sixers will be Lou Williams & Thaddeus Young.

JimmeredYaWabafetParticipantHeat win game 1 105 to 96 🙂

llperezi hope its competitive. I wanna see jrue holiday represent. But i have a hard time seeing the sixers winning todays game or being really in this series.

omphalosParticipantIt all comes down to bench production for the Sixers. That’s where their advantage lies, and they need to use that deep rotation to run the Heat down. Might now work first game, or even second, but they’ll avoid the sweep at least in my opinion.

FastAndFuriousParticipantI got Miami all the way 4-0

omphalosParticipantSmart move by Spoelstra creating the defensive mismatch with Jones. Thad Young needs to get subbed in to cover Jones out on the perimeter so Brand doesn’t stray from the paint.

I May Be WrongParticipantOf course Im rooting for my Sixers. I was rooting for them when the were 3-13 earlier this season and I was rooting for them when they only won 27 games last year. That forum questions asked which team(s) do you THINK could be swept. I think the series will go Miami 4-1 but like I said before, going against LeBron in the playoffs is no easy task for anyone. Towards the end of the season, the Heat have been playing well while the Sixers were limping into the playoffs a little bit. Injuries to Iggy and Lou hurt them down the strecth and caused us to go from the 6th seed to the 7th seed.
Will the Sixers be competitive? YES but winning 2 against this Heat team when they lost the series 3-0 will take a miracle.

Lotto StudParticipantHave Faith man!
Why are all the offensive sets being ran through Iggy at the key as though he is running the 1. That’s what Turner should be used for IMO.

MkadozaParticipantElton is doing WORK! And the Heat look tight…

I May Be WrongParticipantwell I do think the most important matchup is JRUE vs Bibby. Obvisously, Jrue wins the matchup. Today, he’s off to a good start and I have loved the way he’s been playing all season. I kinda like the ball in his hand the most for the Sixers. I think he has the ability to get to the rack against a slower Bibby and they neeed to take full advantage of them

omphalosParticipant2 fouls in the last minute of the first on Dre, going to be a big factor, he was doing a great job on Lebron too.

Lotto StudParticipantThad acts as if he’s scared to shoot. He as an advantage over Bosh. I wish Iggy had PG vision because he could’ve zipped the pass to the player that was cutting to the basket.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/16/2011 - 10:18am #521930
Lotto StudParticipantThad vs Bosh is a key matchup that they should try to take advantage of.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/16/2011 - 10:29am #521935
sheltwon3ParticipantThe way the Heat are playing where their supportive players are showing up to play, I dont think Philly has a chance. If the big 3 just played well and other guys watched maybe but with all the help for the supporting cast, it will be tough for them to be beat.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/16/2011 - 10:33am #521937
Lotto StudParticipantThad is killin me!!!!!!!! He can’t beat Bosh off the dribble???? Can he anyone????

B FreeParticipantMan I’m glad the playoffs are here so we don’t have to read another Bismack Biyombo thread, don’t get me wrong I have commented on like 9 of them.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/16/2011 - 10:39am #521938
B FreeParticipantBut seriously what do you guys think about Bismack?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/16/2011 - 10:45am #521939
B FreeParticipantIggy needs to step up on D
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/16/2011 - 10:45am #521940
Lotto StudParticipantDude get the f*ck off this thread with that Bismack sh*t……Go make a thread!!!!!! We’re talking playoff sh*t over here.

B FreeParticipantlol thats called a joke calm down
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/16/2011 - 11:01am #521945
Lotto StudParticipantPhilly is really lacking that go to guy who can close for them & they are putting the responsibility on Iggy. Turner was projected to be the man coming into the season, but they never gave him the chance to be utilized as a distributor which is his biggest strength IMO. This offseason Philly has to get that go to guy.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/16/2011 - 11:02am #521946
B FreeParticipantthat looked like a legit push off
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/16/2011 - 11:05am #521947
B FreeParticipantYea but the combo of a second year Turner, Iggy and Jrue, who could be that guy himself with another year might be enough if they can get a defensive minded post player.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/16/2011 - 11:12am #521948
Lotto StudParticipantIt’s more of an offensive crisis than defensive. Who is The Man? Iggy can’t take over games if Jrue is going to be that guy he needs to play off the ball & Turner play the 1 to distribute. Turner is not a 1 year gimmick at the PG position.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/16/2011 - 11:18am #521949
B FreeParticipantThats a little unfair to say he can play the one and be the go to guy D Rose, Chris Paul, and Deron Williams they all do it and he is starting to look like he could belong in that class if he continues to improve like he has this season. I think there real problem is the opponents points in the paint and offensive rebounds.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/16/2011 - 11:26am #521954
Lotto StudParticipantJrue lacks that I’m gonna put the team on my back & attack because we are down and we need my scoring, mentality. He is suited for the 2 I’m telling you. Nothing in him says take over & attack right now.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/16/2011 - 11:39am #521955
Lotto StudParticipantWTF are sets being ran through Iggy as a PG!!!!!!! Straight Pitiful!
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/16/2011 - 11:49am #521957
Lotto StudParticipantJrue WILL play off the ball next season. He must!!!!!!
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/16/2011 - 11:53am #521959
KayjayParticipantThe Heat blow leads like crazy. Its always a competitive game with them.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/16/2011 - 12:08pm #521966
KayjayParticipantSeemed like the Sixers atleast caught them sleeping for awhile. But the first game is one of the most crucial ones. They are all important, but the first one leaves the biggest impression. Good game, whats more is both the Bulls game and Miami game we’re defensive ones. I love it.

Lotto StudParticipantLou-was heating up for a little while, but he has to get into the game early for his rhythm to be on. Lou is a very streaky set shooter who needs to not rely on his shot as much as his athletic capabilities.
Thad-must see more minutes! He was the big X this game for Philly. Like I’ve been saying all game long he is a mismatch problem for Bosh off the dribble. Collins need to run sets through him to get him isolated touches vs Bosh.
Jrue-must play off the ball! Everyone does not see what I see in him right now as a 2, but if giving the opportunityfor him to play off the ball he would be more effective then he is with it.
Iggy-I really don’t know what he was doing today on the court. He really did not standout at all except for him p*ssing me off by getting the sets ran through him as a 1, which should be Turner’s job.
Brand-Played really well today, has the playoff experience from L.A. which many lacks on the Philly roster. He has to man up & play big on the boards at all times whether it’s on the offensive or defensive end. Rebounding is the key.

OhCanada-ParticipantBulls game was not defensive, Indiana almost won it straight off penetration through Rose. They wonat the end of the game because of solid defensive effort and missed shot by Tyler, but they only played 3 minutes of typical Bulls defense.
What worries me about the Heat is that they continue to be the same Miami Heat team we saw during the regular season. They did close out the game but it should never have been that close. Bulls also continue to do what they do by dominating the end of games. Rose is a beast.

KayjayParticipantPeople shouldn’t be throwing the word ‘sweep’ around so easily. Sixers and Pacers are known for playing hard to the point if you slip up, they will catch you falling and take advantage of the situation. As for the Rose situation, I fear for th Bulls when they meet Orlando in the second round. Call me crazy but the lack of size might kill them. Along with that, its not so easy to penetrate on Howard like it is everyone else. Ask how Wade felt when he hit the floor.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/16/2011 - 12:34pm #521982
andxxxParticipantYeah cause NBA teams never blow leads the Bulls almost lost to the Pacers it happens

I May Be WrongParticipanttyga you recycling. Decided not to make a new thread and just continue the series in the same thread… thats #WINNING
but, man Sixers need to step it up. Miami Defense has been great though so I cant blame the Sixers all that much right now
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/18/2011 - 1:53pm #522871
Lotto StudParticipantTurner’s recovery time is slow on D, he has no lateral ability. They just exposed it twice.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/18/2011 - 3:21pm #522894
KayjayParticipantHe said himself, Miami is a very underrated defensive team.
