Heat @ Lakers
yeah, ugly start for lakers. Turning it over vs the heat is almost an auto 2 points. Lakers making a point of dumping it in to dwight on offense trying to expose the heats major weakness of inside strength. Hopefully the lakers win, i need this right now.
damn pau taking a 3 pointer with 18 seconds on the clock and no one in rebound position. Easy there cowboy
Should we maybe start calling him "Kobe Lyant"? McGrady denies ever getting owned by Kobe in one-on-one, as Bryant claimed today:

Looks like Manti Te'o isn't the only one with some 'splainin to do!
I actually believe Kobe probably played him and beat him. I also believe that Kobe still brags about beating the neighborhood bully in Pogs. His insane competitive drive is what makes him Kobe. Just guess right now all he can talk about is how much he can bust people in his prime. Let's face it, Kobe is amazing, just not the same Kobe who was winning titles back-to-back. The game we care about is 5-on-5 right now, so LeBron and Durant, they're doing it better.
misleading 4 point lead for miami, they are outplaying the lakers by much more than that.
The fact the Lakers are leading this game is beyond amazing to me. They look awful.
The Heat don't look all that great either, but the Lakers look flat out awful at every facet of the game.
cant blame either guy for that, just not on the same page. Dwight is looking to get a rebound at the same moment kobe is looking at his wide open teammate 2 feet from the rim.
Kobe looks atrocious period. He's playing like trash.
And he's going to get laid out ball hawking because the Heat are setting screens and unfortunately for Kobe, his teammates aren't calling them out.
I do like the idea of having Pau come off the bench. It gives their 2nd more fire power and gives Dwight space to operate to start the game. It's been and will continue to be a work in progress for the Lakers.
metta d's up lebron and cuts off his lane to the hoop forcing a tough missed jumper on one end then drills the three 5 seconds later.
IF the Lakers weren't just giving the ball away, they'd have a decent lead in this game. I mean, other than transition points off of turnovers, the Heat haven't played well at all.
lakersup 1 is just crazy. The heat have done nothing well outside of dunks when lebron or wade get free. Really unimpressive half by them.
Heat have not only not made a single 3PT shot yet, but they've only gotten up five attempts. If they can start getting looks for the guys who will be on the court for the rest of the game like Battier, Chalmers, and Allen the game would become much easier for them. But the Lakers have somewhat neutralized that by making the Heat play a big line-up limiting their ability to throw out a bunch of shooters, interesting game.
shaq and chuck killing the lakers about not getting the ball to dwight enough saying they would have beat some teammates ass if they didnt get their touches but i honestly think they are wrong on this one. Lakers were looking for dwight every time down. Heat are just collapsing and dwight isnt always gonna be open.
The Heat look lethargic. So its anyone's game at this point. Its clearly obvious playing last night had an effect on them. Its not that big of a leap from Oakland to LA. But a fresh Kobe and Dwight make for an alarming problem. Which is why we are seeing twice as many lobs come Dwights way.
I think the Lakers are doing a good job firing back. The turnovers have been hirting them. However Miami did force those turnovers... Metta is bringing a lot of energy. Gasol looks decent on Offense but terrible on Defense. Dwight looks good and should get the ball a little more since he's either scoring or getting fouled.
As for Miami, its their game to lose... They controlled the game until.... LEBRON WENT TO THE BENCH! Its like the turning point in every Miami game. I know they have a substitution system but how many times does it take to see that you are on a roll and LBJ is cooking, dont stop it there, Let him put them away early and then you give him his rest. He had 14 and den gets subbed because its "the time" when he usually gets subbed. When he gets back in the game, the momentum is changed and he has to try and get it back going. Its a system I know, but the results are always the same. His own team stops his momentum. When Kobe, KD, and Melo are hot, you dont see them getting subbed out in the middle of it. Does anyone else notice that or am I looking at it wrong?
dwight gotta make some ft's.
When Ron Artest is taking wide open corner three-pointers off of the catch or maybe one dribble or two, that's fine.
However, when he's dribbling and isolating (not going anywhere) and shooting, he's trying to do too much. He needs to move the ball.
they just announced a stat that nash touches his teammates in a positive manner like high fives or pats on the back 100 tiems a game. Who the hell tracks that?
lakers down 1 with kobe playing bad. Just keep battling guys. Lakers take this then bruins beat the ducks on saturday and i can pretty much just call it a weekend.
I'm starting to believe in the Lakers today, they're showing me they have what it takes to hang with the big boys. But they need to feed Pau down low, Dwight too, but especially Pau, he's a top 3 post player down low, and Miami has no one to guard him or Dwight down low.
hes playing no more aggressive or taking no more bad shots then normal. They just arent falling.
MWP - 4/9
Clark - 2/5
Dwight - 3/5
Nash - 3/6
Gasol - 3/6
Jamison - 4/7
Kobe Bryant - Three out of Sixteen.
I don't like Kobe's shots. Of the 16 shots he's taken, only 4-5 were even good shots.
im not defending kobne's performance or his shooting numbers. But these arent him dribbling down the clock not even thinking about passing. He just blew a layup a secodn ago as i tyope this. Bad game for sure and if they lose he will take the blame. But you cant expect him to change how he plays
Now, the last two shots are what I expect.
One, he moved without he ball, caught it and shot it with rhythm. Then on that second one, the ball was tipped out to him like a pass. He caught it and shot it with rhythm.
He can't just hold the ball and hoist up threes. And to end the 3rd quarter, he dribbled (with everyone watching him), did a pumpfake and then took a tough fadeaway against Allen.
He can't play like this versus this team. You can't really beat this team with hero ball.
gasol dunked!!!!!

Them Turnovers. 3 straight turnovers from the Lakers lead to 6 straight fastbreak points for the Heat. And that's only the first 3 minutes!
