Heat @ Bulls

It's a great game so far, hopefully has a good end as well.

By the way, anybody saw the guy in the stands with the F..U..K / LBJ shirt in a RUN / DMC-esque design?

This team just meshes so well

This team just meshes so well together. There is no other TEAM (meaning 5 guys on the court, not a big3) I'd rather watch other than the OKC Thunder. They just play so well together and trust eachother. They have so much fun.

That's the key to winning.

And this is why I don't like

And this is why I don't like charges. What exactly was LeBron supposed to do in that situation? He literally just stood there, got in his way and LeBron was already full speed.

Seriously, what was LeBron supposed to do there?

don't be surprised if the

don't be surprised if the heat comeback. the bulls have no go-to guy.

also... the BIGGEST weakness in spoelstra defensive system is an offense that moves the ball extremely well, because spo loves help defense and double teaming guys that shouldn't even be double teamed to create TOs and get on the break

Derrick Rose needs to watch

Derrick Rose needs to watch the way Lucas is playing versus the Heat. He's quick, decisive and shooting that jumper hard off of the pull up.

I love the way this little dude is playing lol. He's vocal, aggressive, decisive and he's having fun out there.

I'm loving this right now lol.

Lucas has the nose for the basket... Just unbelievable how he could just put it in easily against a great defensive team...

does the person that negged

does the person that negged me on the last comment know anything about the heat?, to be negging me for speaking the truth about the heat's defensive system... please reply back and tell me why im wrong jackass.

it was one of the main reason why the heat lost the finals last year, THAT, and offensive rebounding.

also, last time i posted rose is over-credited i got about 20 negs, so i guess people is starting to notice.

OH LOOK, a heat comeback

D. Wade was a little too far

D. Wade was a little too far on that shot... Don't know why he didn't rock him to sleep and shoot a little bit closer like he'd been doing.

The Bulls are a tough, gritty

The Bulls are a tough, gritty and great defensive team... They play hard and crashed the boards (one of Miami's weaknesses). I mean, this was a great win and Lucas played his ass off.

But let's be real here... This team isn't going too far without Rose. Don't use this victory or any other victory the Bulls have had without Rose this season to downplay Rose's importance to the team.

What they *need* to do is play like this when Rose gets back and he needs help in the playoffs when Miami's entire defense is focused on him.

^Agreed.

Yes, the Bulls are a good team with or without Rose but that doesn't mean he is "overcredited". Did you see how bad their late game offense was today? Lucas was great this game but he was pretty poor at the end.

Huge win by the Bulls without Derrick Rose and Richard Hamilton. Can't wait until (if) they meet in the playoffs, definitely going to be closer than last year's.

when i say rose is

when i say rose is over-credited it goes out to those who think that rose "carries the bulls" like we have heard over and over and over... i don't see them going far without rose because they lack a go-to guy which is MUCH MUCH needed

...another reason why they're so good is because of their depth

Nice win for the

Nice win for the Bulls...these are probably by far the 2 best teams in the league. OKC doesn't have the depth that these two do. The thing was, Miami's 2 stars came out to play, but their 3rd guy was aweful, and their role players were non existent. Meanwhile for the Bulls, despite Boozer being invisible, and Deng having a below average game, they got the best case scenario game out of Lucas, and their role players ALL stepped up. Noah, Brewer, Korver, and Gibson were all very good tonight.

Heat might wanna trade for

Heat might wanna trade for some bigs that can rebound off the bench.

Do they have any 7 footers even?

Can't just be relying on the big 3 and 3 pt. shooters. Bosh was awful shooting the ball in this one.

John Lucas III

Did he just prove that the Coach Thibs system is more valuable than Derrick Rose?

Not taking away from Rose, the Bulls need him to make a serious championship run, but the Bulls just insert player and they keep winning.

I wasn't at my computer last night, but what a hell of a game. Who would have guess that Miami would have had to put Lebron James on John Lucas III to slow him down?

Thibs is making a strong case

Thibs is making a strong case for best coach in the NBA. At this point it has to be either him or Pop right?

The Bulls beating the Heat won't be dependent on Rose or a second scorer, but upon the offensive glass. The Heat bigs just cannot match up with the Bulls down there and those extra possessions add up fast.

The blueprint to beat the

The blueprint to beat the Heat is there.

- Crush them on the glass.

- Ball movement and patience in the half-court offense. Can't turn the ball over. Seriously... Derrick Rose needs to watch game film on how John Lucas attacked the Heat defense. Sometimes I feel like Rose is like a deer in the headlights when they hedge/trap him the way they do. Lucas played A LOT quicker and decisive, and was unpredictable.

- Get back in transition and force them to play in the half-court.

- Play tough defense and elliminate AT LEAST one of the big three and defend shooters.

That's the blueprint to beat them and I think the Bulls are probably the only team that can execute it.

Huh? I've never downplayed

Huh? I've never downplayed the Bulls, but it's obvious they aren't going anywhere without Derrick Rose. Only a fool would argue that they would.

You take LeBron James off of Miami, they're still an elite team. You take Kevin Durant off of the Thunder, they still have Russell Westbrook and James Harden. You take Kobe Bryant off of the Lakers, they still have Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol.

Take Rose off of Chicago and who do you have? Luol Deng who isn't somebody who creates his own offense. Carlos Boozer who's best days are behind. Joakim Noah, who plays hard. You think John Lucas can do that every game lol? You believe in CJ Watson? You believe in Ronnie Brewer? You think Kyler Korver is going to create shots for himself? You think Taj Gibson is anymore than a solid player on a good team playing his role?

These guys play hard on the glass, at the defensive end and have great chemistry, but let's be real here... They're probably picking in the late lottery without Rose.

you never downplayed the

you never downplayed the bulls eh? well you just did buddy...

and yes they would be going somewhere without rose, the playoffs. i never said they would win it all but they could even make a push to the 2nd round

im willing to bet money that the bulls are better than okc if you were to take durant and rose off the teams. they have arguably the best defensive team (without rose) and even tho no one can create their own shot, they play with truly amazing chemistry to make up for it. deng is one of the toughest defenders in the league and so is noah, who runs the court like a deer.

without rose they would be a top 4-5 team in the east. they have one of the deepest teams in league also, everyone knows their role and no1 be putting up ill-advised shots...

Bulls, Heat, Magic, 76ers,

Bulls, Heat, Magic, 76ers, Pacers, Hawks, Celtics and Bucks/Knicks

Those are the top eight teams in the East as of right now. Without Rose, who would the Bulls be better than on that list? You wrote that they'd be a 4th or 5th seed without Rose. That means you think they'd be better than the 76ers/Pacers or the Hawks?

The Bulls would be right along with the Bucks and Knicks flirting for a playoff spot. And if they got in as a low seed, there's no way they'd be able to beat the Heat, Magic or even the 76ers/Pacers to get into the second round. These are teams that play the Bulls tough with Rose and you think the Bulls would be able to beat them without him?

I've never downplayed the Bulls as an overall team. I've written in this thread a couple of times that they play hard, defend, rebound, etc, etc. However, Rose is the superstar who allows them to be successful playing their roles. Luol Deng is the only near complete player on the team and not even he can create his own offense at a high level. You wrote Joakim Noah runs like a deer... I guess that excuses the fact that great defensive teams are defending the Bulls 5 on 4 in the half-court whenever he's on the floor?

And if you think a Thunder team led by Westbrook and Harden would be worse than a Bulls team without Rose, then I don't know what to tell you.

And I've been on this site for awhile now. A pretty long time. You haven't been around long enough to comment on what I've done. I don't see things unseen to the normal human's eye like BothTeamsPlayedHard, but I think I bring a little more to the table than just recycling other posts.

there's no doubt in my mind

there's no doubt in my mind that a rose-less bulls would be a 4th-5th seed in the east.

and yes they would beat okc without durant.
