Celtics3178ParticipantHeyward and Celtics meeting. They def pulled out the red carpet treatment. It started off with brad and Horford picking him up at the airport. Today him and his wife went to Fenway where on the Jumbotron it has a message welcome him and his wife. They then played a 6 minute video of celtics legends and current and past Boston sports legends talking about the fans and traditions. They had Clips of Kobe and Lebron talking about the celtics fans. IT Horford and the Brass met with him today. They did over an hour long iPad presentation with highlights from last year in Utah on how he can improve his game and what his role will be in the system. With all the stars out west it makes move east. If you were Heyward do you have a better shot in Miami or Boston. I think Boston is his best chance obviously I’m bias. I think Gorgan, Winslow and Whiteside is a solid core. To be honest more enticing then the Celtics core. iT Brown and Horford.but the players outside the core 3 are much more valueable then what Miami can offer. Tatum, AB and Smart. Crowder would have to go but you could hope to get some value for him.

EndlessknightParticipantIf he does sign with the Celtics where does that leave Tatum, at the 4?

Celtics3178ParticipantTatum will have to earn his minutes like every other rookie in brads system. He has a 8’10 standing reach so he could def play the 4 in small ball. Jaylen Brown can play the 2 and Tatum can play the three like they are in summer league. So plenty of minutes for him he won’t be starting that’s for sure. What does Miami do with Winslow? He’s in his 3rd year can’t really play the 4. Heyward has awful numbers playing the 4 and he had Rudy at the 5 behind him.

Ahkasi ClayParticipantWhy go to a team that just drafted your future replacement?

LOFTYParticipantLol it’s a good thing the Celtics didn’t mess up his name on the Jumbotron like you keep doing

Robb_CParticipantTatum could possibly play SG, hes a very solid ball handler.

SlickBouncePassParticipantNo one wants to deal with Ainge in the NBA right now.
How the heck is Billy King on NBA TV, discussing what Danny Ainge, who checkmated him in one move, is thinking through FA. Billy King is the worst GM ever.

Meditated StatesParticipantBrown is a two but can play 2,3,4 at times. He is versatile. Winslow is looking like a bust. No way Miami has a shot to be better than C’s anytime soon.

HitsterParticipantBoston have been fairly quiet over the FA period, I wonder if they have gone “all in” to get Hayward like Spurs did with LMA a couple of summer’s back. Butler and PG13 have been traded, Millsap has joined Nuggets so the people we thought they might chase are going elsewhere.
I wonder if Ainge is playing a waiting game, he has a young core and will let it develop whilst a lot of stars are moving West. It works perfectly unless Hinkie’s “Process” comes to fruition for Philly.
