I am a Laker fan first of all but one of my other favorite teams to watch and root for is the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers are now down 2-1 to the Hawks and they should be down 3-0 with the way that they have been playing in this playoff series. In their win in Game 2, even though they won decisively, they pretty much lucked out.

The Hawks have been getting wide open 3pt shots in every game so far and the Pacers lucked out by the Hawks missing so many of those wide open looks in the Game 2. The bad Perimeter Defense continued in Game 3 and a similar result happened as in Game 1 though the game was much closer. The Pacers are giving up wide open looks to a team that likes to shoot open 3’s and has one of the best shooters in the league in Korver.

For the pacers to win this series, i say that Hibbert mustn’t  play because hes to slow to stop milsap and they just run p&r with Teague to switch Hibbert onto him to create a massive mismatch. I reccomend playing Copeland because he has a similar size and skillset to Milsap and is quick enough to keep up with him.

I dont know how such a team that was the #1 team in the League for the first half of the season  can just fall apart and lose their defensive identity but I hope they change because I would like to see them challenge Miami in the ECF because I feel they are the team wit the best chance to beat Miami in the East and I dislike Miami. My Dislike for Miami has made me like the Pacers

I just feel bad for Pacers fans. Their team takes the eventual NBA champs to 7 games, they start the season off looking unstoppable, despite their troubles half way through the year they get the one seed…but now they are down 2-1 to the eight seed that didn’t even finish at .500. I hope the Pacers can turn things around because its sad to see this happen to any team.

Thats why people Hated the Heat at the beginning, because everybody thought it was a great player taking the easy road, thats why everyone cheered for the Mavs when they beat the HEAT with Team basketball and why everyone is rooting  for the Spurs/Thunder/Clippers to run the Heat train to the ground in the Finals

I am worried, I can’t think of a team that was so dominant at the start of the season and totally fall apart without major injuries or something like that.

What is worse is this is my team.

Every keeps referring to the big heat as Jordan/Bird/Magic as far as them coming together can someone please explain to me how Bosh is on that level? Magic and Bird didn’t have to leave there teams because Hall of Famers and all star calibar players came to them.

People dont refer to the big 3 as those 3 all time Greats Jordan Magic nd Bird. They say that those 3 didnt have to switch teams to compete and win championships like Lebron had done by pairing up with all stars and probably future HOF players in Wade and Bosh. They question his competitiveness in comparison to Jordan Bird and Magic because they say If you are truly so great then why can;t you just make the best out of your situation and would have to team up with other great players to win a championship. I agree with it to some extent but I do feel that the argument is flawed because Those 3 all time greats did have HOF players on their teams, but one could say that winning championships is what lead them to being inducted into the HOF. It improved their legacy

To be fair Lebrons situation was not like Jordans (Pippen, Harper, Rodman, Phil Jackson), Bird (Mcale, Parrish, Ainge) or Magics (Kareem, Worthy). I don’t believe any of those three would have stayed on a Cavs team that Lebron had.

Before the series I was negged like 6 or something posting that the Pacers should be worried. I never thought they would lose to Atlanta but I wrote about troubles in the locker room, Lance being a knucklehead, (this was before the Lance/Turner brawl) Hibbert calling other players on the team selfish, the PG struggles on and off the court this season, and the fact that they were struggling to score.

You are right talking about their perimeter D. Their D in general just is not the same right now.

During a recent Vogel interview he was asked if Hibbert will start. He said probably because he has been the starter and our anchor but his answer sounded as if he had debated or was debating how much Hibbert should be playing. Copeland could provide an offensive spark and match up with Milsap, like you said.

Yea another thing is that they lack a true playmaker and George Hill who I have heard to be an above average defender is getting cooked by Jeff Teague. He is a decent shooter but is not being assertive and putting any pressure on the Atlanta guards to play defense.

Lack of a playmaker has led to alot of iso ball like PG dribbling up the court and pulling a contested midrange jumper, and Lance just dribbling insane and then trying to pull a midrange shot. I feel some more off ball movement would be highly beneficial but i guess they feel whats the point of moving since they have no one to get the ball to them
