How many games did Al Horford miss again?  It seems as if he has played all season long!  He’s giving the Celtics fits

That was a great game.  I don’t see how the 76ers can beat the Celtics.  Guess you can pencil in the Heat vs the Celtics in the conference finals.

Saw the last 9.4 seconds. Horford misses the first and then should have obviously miss the second one. Getting 1 point does absolutely nothing. Leaving yourself with 1.3 and no timeouts to advance the ball? Horrible coaching

The Hawks have never been able to put it together in a seven game series because they don’t play well as a team (something the Celtics do better than any team in the League). I agree though, Horford should’a missed that 2nd one and given his team a shot at the offensive board.

Forget stats. Bradley was huge. KG needs a new deal.

yeah Atlanta doesn’t communicate well on the defensive side of the ball and they aren’t much of a "team". plus, jeff teague’s body language is garbage… larry drew won’t get let go. they need to get rid of marvin williams, add some youth, scoring and size off the bench, and maybe think about moving al horford/josh smith

    They need a center.

I still think a Josh Smith for Brook Lopez (and contract fillers) makes sense for both teams.  Horford slides to his natural PF spot, they get a legit 7fter.  The Nets get another piece to the puzzle as they try to acquire Dwight Howard next offseason.  Moving forward with Deron Williams, Josh Smith, and Dwight Howard.

The refs gave Boston that game. The NBA is no different than the WWE. Sports entertainment where certain details are worked out before the match.

As a Celtics fan, I’m willing to admit that if Horford were healthy, we could have lost this series. I never watched Atlanta play much, but the difference was like day and night with Horford back in the lineup, and I can see now that he has earned his All-Star berths.

ATL must hold onto him, but as much as I like Smith, he needs to be traded for a C and possibly a SG. Trading Smith to Brooklyn for Lopez and either Brooks or Morrow is the best case scenario for the Hawks, and helps the Nets too.

Teague, Morrow, Johnson, Horford and Lopez form an intimidating starting lineup, and I think a full-time switch to the SF position will let Johnson be more effective than he was this season, and it’s not as if he’s undersized.

    Thoughts?

The Celtics are always difficult in the play offs with all that experience and Atlanta seem to have reached their level but could they afford to go into rebuild as they have Johnson under that huge deal. Maybe they base their bottom line on making the play offs and any sort of run is a bonus. I’ve always seen them in recent years as a top 5 or 6 play off lock but never likely to go beyond Conference Semi Finals.

Celtics vs Miami would seem to be a logical Eastern Final now and you have a fresh Thunder and Spurs waiting for teams coming off a 7 game series out West.
