Some questions about him. I want to make a lotto mock and am wondering if I should include Whiteside in it. So,

1) Is it a foregone conclusion that Hassan Whiteside stays for another year of college? I think he should stay atleast another year, but is it 100% he goes back?
2) If he were to come out this year, where would he be picked? I know he wouldnt be 1, but could he go top 5? I would probably take him over Motiejunas(I don’t trust Euro players), and I would probably take him over favors because he is a 7 footer with probably just as much potential. I do think I would take Evan Turner over him though. So where would you take him if he came out this year? Who do you think are better prospects this year?

He should enter the draft this year.
He will be a top 10 pick and a likely top 5 pick.
He will go to a team where he can contribute immediately.
In his rookie season he will be at worst a good shot blocker.
Hes raw, but he should play because hes not as raw as someone like thabeet (who was a terrible pick)
I think he could go as high as #2, but if he comes back anotehr year and plays bad, or gets hurt that can hurt his chances.
I say he should enter the draft this year.

I agree completely, when i said he should come back another year, I meant to work on his game. But yes his stock is very high at the moment and it would be hard to turn down a top 5 contract in the NBA.

A lot depends on whether Marshall can make the NCAA tourney. If the Herd make it, and whiteside has a great showing(like Patrick O’Bryant of Bradley a couple of years ago), he will most definitely be a top 5 pick and should go.

If i was him i would come out this year but if i’m his advisor i would tell him to stay.
