A day after Paul Pierce mocked LeBron James on Twitter, Heat forward Udonis Haslem questioned the toughness of the Celtics captain.

"It’s been a pleasure to bring my talents to south beach," was the message that appeared on Pierce’s twitter feed. "(N)ow on to Memphis."

Asked if he had a response to Pierce’s tweet, Haslem responded with a question of his own.

"Paul who?" Haslem shot back. "Man, ain’t nobody paying them dudes no attention, man. You know what studio gangster is? Look up that, look up the definition of studio gangster. I’m here to play basketball. First of all, I don’t tweet. So I wouldn’t know what he tweeted if you guys didn’t tell me."

I think a lot of people are paying the Celtics attention especially after they beat the Heat twice already. The Celtics play like they have something to prove, and people say they’re old every year. If the Heat don’t get right, this is foreshadowing of what will happen in the playoffs.

"Paul who?" You think he would know the name of the Captain of the team that has beat the Heat twice already.

    Paul who?

That insult makes a bit more sense when it’s Kobe talking about Matt Barnes. Not so much when it’s Udonis talking about an 8 time All-Star, Finals MVP, future Hall of Famer who just scored 25 points to beat his team…

Also Pierce doesn’t appear to be a studio gangster at all. He doesn’t rap at all.

And when he was stabbed 11 times in late september of 2000 and almost killed he returned to start every single game that season and averaged over 25 points per game…

A month later he misses no training camp and  no games all season while averaging about 25 a night. TOUGH.

Haslem is just sour because so many Pauls these days are taking it to him and his team.

You can call pierce anything you want, but he is a better basketball player than Haslem; moreover, he is better that A LOT of players in the NBA. Haslem is a good role player, but I think it looks bad when your role player steps up and says something, and not your best player(s) and supposed leader(s)… Lets see Haslem get stabbed to near death and come back to play a full season. No way you can question Pierce’s toughness. If he does fake injuries which we don’t know if he is or isn’t, at least he comes back instead of sitting.
