Has there ever been a team with more potential pros???
There have been plenty of teams with more pro potential. You can probably name 9 or 10 within the past 2 years. If you knock out Wall, only 3 of those guys are legitimately on the NBA radar right now, and one is probably a 2nd round pick at best.
sounds like a Kentucky fan being overly optimistic again. Hoping all the recruits fall into place and that they all reach or exceed their potential is asking too much. And there is a difference between potential pro and 2nd round pick like many of those hope to be...2nd round picks making the league and holding down a roster spot is not a given either. but yes it could happen if all of the dominoes fall into place.
You must be from ky because half of those will not get drafted. guys like Darius Miller, Darnell Dodson, Deandre Liggins, Jodie Meeks and Jon Hood now that a joke have a slim chance of making it.
I swear I hear the same things from Kentucky fans every 2 weeks or so...I remember KY fans thought Henry would sign with them and here was their projected lineup...
John Wall
Jodie Meeks
Xavier Henry
Patrick Patterson
Demarcus Cousins
That didn't happen of course..Weeks ago I predicted that Bledsoe and Cousins would go to KY, Henry would go to Kansas, and Wall would go to Duke...Looks like it's going to happen.
Yup, I am optimistic and I am a huge Kentucky fan. Well, in response to ch15r36is, Patterson, Cousins and Orton are 1st round locks in the future (nbadraft.net has Cousins as the #6 best hs player and Orton at #7 for this next class). If Wall commits, that is 4 1st rounders. Meeks will go in the 2nd round of this years draft if he stays, but he could slip into the first round of next year's draft with a year of Cal's offense under his belt. Miller and Pilgrim are going to surprise a lot of people next year (http://www.nbadraft.net/players/matthew-pilgrim). And the rest of the guys I mentioned above are for sure 3-4 year players who may or may not develop. All I know is that Cal gets players to the NBA as well as any coach in the country.
So yes, I am biased. It's about time us UK fans had something to be excited for. Sorry if it gets under the skin of you Kansas, UNC, Duke and MSU fans.
PS Wall is coming to UK. Sorry Dukies.

I may be wrong, but the 1996 Kentucky Wildcats had 9 guys on the team that all made the league at one point or another.
This year, Kentucky has a chance to beat that number (based on potential if certain rumored recruits sign and players come back) with Patrick Patterson, Jodie Meeks, Darius Miller, Demarcus Cousins, Daniel Orton, Jon Hood, Matt Pilgrim, Deandre Liggins, Darnell Dodson, Eric Bledsoe (rumored to sign next week) and John Wall (rumored to be leaning towards UK). I am not saying all of these guys make it, but based on all of them being 4 and 5 star talent out of high school, it is possible.
If all of those soon to be freshman sign and upper class men come back, has there ever been a more talented team on paper with more players that made it to the NBA?
