Seems like there was something that went down among Andrew Wiggins and the Harrison twins that may have given Wiggins any reason not to choose Kentucky. I'm sure coach Cal is pissed if this had anything to do with Wiggins decision.
I'm pretty sure this had nothing to do with his decision. People say whatever that want on social media all day everyday whether it is good or bad. Wiggins weighed his options and felt KU was the best decision for him and his future. That's it that's all.
If Wiggins let that effect his decision then he won't last a second in the NBA. Plus it wasn't even one of the Twins. It was some guy in the backseat lol. Like the person above me said. It's the social media. People always going to talk about you whether it's good or bad. You think Lebron doesn't know people talk about his hairline? Or Derrick Rose know people calling him a &$#%#&@! for not returning. They don't care lol. Wiggins felt like KU was the best place for him and that's all that matters.
Actually, I think all the scrutiny Lebron faces about everything does bother him. You can see it in his face and body language when reporters bring up something he's sensitive about.
I think Wiggins is to blame for not choosing Kentucky.
Sorry, going off topic. I think Wayne Seldon and a legit 7'1 player is going to Kansas too. This team is going to be exciting.
the twins arent just some chumps on twitter ragging on lebron about his hairline.
This would be like dwyade posting a video where a friend says the heat dont need lebron right before his Decision.
These are his mighta been teammates telling him he's not wanted at kentucky. You think wiggins, after all those months of thinking, wanted to play his one year, his one super scrutinized college year, with a starting guard tandem that could limit his touches spitefully? Would you want that situation if you were wiggins and could go anywhere? Yeah right.
The twins clearly want kentucky to be the harrison show, and they have enough supporting characters. Harrison brand shaping, blew up in their face. Kentucky fans gonna always wonder...
I'm seriously questioning who gave this +1, you really think, after months of traveling the country, visiting coaches, talking to scouts, talking to these players, and playing with these players that Andrew Wiggins made a decision because of a 6 second video of his friend saying "F*** Andrew Wiggins" and I saw the video, it wasn't anything. You don't know the Twins personally, if the Twins really wanted to make it the Harrison show, why would they not have committed to SMU or Maryland? It seems like you're holding something against these two because what you just said sounded pretty ignorant. Also, I'm not sure if you've played for a team or an organized sport, but once you step in between those lines, and the scoreboard turns on, you're not worried about who on your team is shining or not, the only thing truly on your mind is the game ahead of you. I've never been in the second quarter of a game and thought to my self "Hey, don't pass Michael the ball", you're worried about winning, not who on your team is winning.
Are you seriously telling me that kentucky with wiggins had enough shots to go around, or that if not, the twins would have been happy to average 4-5 shots a game? Lol.
They think and might be correct that they can win a championship with the best recruiting class in history without Wiggins.
Yeah, no college player ever wanted to establish a record of production to get drafted higher, lol.
I've had a coach explicitly call for me to be the center of the offensive game plan, and two guards who were best friends just hogged the ball and the shots.
Yeah, Westbrook never took a shot without first looking to see if kd was wiiiide open, lol.
What shooting guard doesnt want shots? Twins have plenty of help already, without becoming the help.
I simply don't think Wiggins is a UK type kid. I just listened to Dave Telep formerly of Scout and currently of ESPN talk yesterday about all the entourages around UK basketball and it seems that just isn't how Wiggins gets down. I know all schools have some degree of this but that UK is on another level with the flashy image Cal and his players like to portray.
I think it does matter. If that's your potential teammate posting a video of negativity towards you then it will affect your decision. Even though he wasn't the one saying it he still posted the video knowing it was on there. And you can't forget that Wiggins is still a kid and comes across as a shy kid at that. And to use Lebron and Rose as examples is silly because this isn't the media poking fun at wiggins these are his peers. I don't think it was the only factor but I'm sure it didn't help UKs case.
I don't care the for the reason why he didn't choose Kentucky, as long as he didn't go there. I'm good with the decision of him going to Kansas with a good, but not overwhelming ridiculously super powered team like Kentucky. If I had a problem with a couple brothers, that I could choose not to play with why not.
This is the 7fter that will be in Kansas also.
all i know is this, before wiggins decision it looked as if Kentucky was taylor made to cruise to a national championship. Now, i dont know how easy it will be after thinking about things. IMO Kansas has a really great shot to go far, louisville could make another run, even uconn could end up suprising some people
Whether or not it affected his decision, and i don't think it did, I can't help but ask: Why even post this? I read little tibits from the all-star circuit about Aaron being a bit of a knuckle head. That's the biggest thing i get out of this story. Less athletic Jr smith haha?
I obviously posted it because I found it interesting and believed it to be worth conversing about, whether you agree with me or not. If you didn't want to read it, why would you take the time to post about why I posted it? Confused.
Fact of the matter is this happened and since no one put it out there, I did because I wanted to. Simple as that.
Wiggins not coming to UK is the reason the guy in the backseat said what he did. He knew before the announcement, likely because the Harrisons knew.
I wouldn't read too much into it. Besides, I'd bet the problem wouldn't be either Harrison, but James Young, who would stand to lose the most minutes to Wiggins. .
Actually word is that Wiggin's own parents didn't even know until the night before the day he made his decision, so assuming that's true, just how would anyone else know what he was going to do when the first couple of people (his parents) didn't even know until a matter of hours before he made it public? This incident took place at least a week ago, might I add.
