Harrison Barnes

Through 5 games averaging 12 / 6 / 2. Pretty much the numbers I expected from him. I don't see him becoming a NBA superstar. He reminds me of Marvin Williams in his first and only year at UNC. I would take Kyrie Irving with the first pick if the draft was today.

No Killer Instinct and not a lock for # 1

Barnes is too much of a nice guy.He doesnt have a take over mentality. He has much better skills than Marvin Williams. Williams was tweener and hiding behind a talented team at UNC. Barnes is a natural small forward, I dont think he is the cant miss prospect he has been hyped up to be. And not just from these few games but even in high school. I think he can be an all-star caliber player on the next level, but I dont know if he will be that superstar everyone thinks. I also dont think he is a lock at number one, depending on who is drafting he may not be.

Wow some people need to relax

Wow some people need to relax and learn he is only 18 years old and he is still learning the game. Do you expect him to be on Kobe's level right now? Give the kid a break, he still needs to get used the college atmosphere. Why are people judging him already? Wouldn't it be smart to wait a couple more games or even till later on in the season.

I knew very little about

I knew very little about Barnes until I watched a televised ESPN game last year. Had I watched the game with the sound off, I would have never known that he was the top rated HS player in the country. I saw nothing special. Just a very mature, sound player, but certainly not dominating. So I never expected much from him at the college level. Yes, its still very early and I'm not saying he is a bust ( never regarded him high ), but just not a numero UNO talent. Number one pick should be head and shoulder above the rest IMHO.

this board is so retarded. Every flip flops like no other.

Harrison Barnes probably will be the top pick. Its 5 games. And then you will all look tripple retarded.

Not another Harrison Barnes

Not another Harrison Barnes Forum....If you want to base your argument on stats you might as well take Kemba Walker or Terrence Jones with the first pick...you act as Irving number are way better than Barnes.....stop it..its 20+ games left .......and yes he has been a dissapointment thus far.

Roy williams doesnt make

Roy williams doesnt make adjustments...He leaves drew out there so he gets no easy buckets. NO excuses tho cause he chose to come to unc...im just sayin...I don't like roy williams coaching style to say the least and yes im a UNC fan...I like watching duke much better than unc this year and im just keeping it real...maybe he shoulda looked stronger at kansas...but yeah he has been a dissapointment so far

Yeah i agree with you on

Yeah i agree with you on Drew...he cant finsh around the rim for nothing.....i remember when he was in high school he was a deep threat....now he shoot like Shaq.

Iam hoping he transfer....that would give use a better chance at landing L.J. Rose.

its almost that time to hand the keys over Marshall.

I dont think both Ridley and

I dont think both Ridley and Coleman would commit....but the kid Shabazz Muhammad looks good in a UNC uniform...i think Harrison Barnes success is going be huge if Roy wants him.

I juss think Barnes needs to

I juss think Barnes needs to find his rhythm, he is obviously very intelligent and no i dont think he will be a superstar, but i think he could develope in 2 a really good second option playing off of a superstar. I juss dont think he has the takeover killer instinct an he needs sum1 to take pressure of him.

He definetly not Marvin

He definetly not Marvin Williams. Williams was tweener with little offensive game. Barnes is a true wing, Williams is more power forward. But I will say I have believed along that Bullock will be a better player it just may take more time in college, he is a true 2 gaurd who can pass, shoot, and drive.

Reggie Bullock isn't going to

Reggie Bullock isn't going to be better than Harrison Barnes. Never.

It really takes little for alot of you guys to get fickle. Harrison Barnes plays nothing like Marvin Williams people. Just because he's struggling early in the season to put up Kobe Bryant-esque numbers doesn't mean he's not going to be a good player. He's probably not a superstar and he probably doesn't have a true killer instinct, but he's going to only get better as the year goes along. I remember a few guys struggling early in the season, remember DeMarcus Cousins? Derrick Rose? Tyreke Evans? It's not "end-all-do-all" if he struggles early on. I'm willing to bet alot of people will be eating their words on Barnes at the end of the year. He's going to have a great season and then he'll go on to have a very strong NBA career.

Barnes hasnt really played

Barnes hasnt really played poorly the numbers are just not there. I have only seen him play once or twice on espn but he seems like a complete player with talent comin out of his ears, he will end up being a big time player by the end of the year
