I think they’re the perfect college teammate pairing at picks 16 and 19 for the bulls. They need to get DRose another back court mate and they need some more outside shooting which both guys bring. They can use Payne as their backup PF/C when they decide to amnesty boozer and go for Carmelo.

Chicago lineup: Rose/Hinrich, Butler/Harris, Melo/Dunleavy, Taj/Payne, Noah/Payne

if Chicago trades up to #9 #10 or even #11 to get the guy they really want (James Young)

then I still believe Harris and Payne r a great pairing at #16 and #19 for either the Hornets, Sixers, or Nuggets.

Hornets: Kemba/Neal, Henderson/Harris, MKG/Taylor, Payne/Mcroberts, Jefferson/Zeller

Sixers: MCW/Wroten, Harris/Anderson, Thaddeus/Jrich, Payne/Moultrie, Noel/Mullens

Nuggets: Lawson/Robinson, Harris/Foye, Gallo/Chandler, Faried/Payne, Hickson/McGee

in all 4 scenarios (Bulls,Hornets,Sixers,Nuggets) I believe the Spartans would be the right picks at 16 and 19 and they contribute on both ends at a high level from day one.

Of course none of this happens if Harris doesn’t fall to 16 but with all the young guys with promising potential and Harris probably being the 3rd best sg on the board behind young and Stauskus (not including smart/Lavine who are PG’s) I believe both guys r still on the board at 16 and 19 and would make a team better instantly.

 I mean that’s great that you have Wiggins or Parker at 3, and I’m all on board with that and all, but you’re picking Payne up just to back up Thad ?  Don’t you think someone like Payne deserves to be no less than a starter ?

 The Sixers would already be starting 3 rookies (wiggins/parker,harris,noel) I’m sure they’d have enough room for a rookie who can back up both the PF and C spot while getting quality minutes. Payne won’t start anywhere his first year but he’ll contribute off the bench right away.
