TarHeelRavenParticipant51 today…The undeniable greatest player of all time………for now. I think his spot on the Mt. Rushmore of all-time greats is pretty much set in stone. 6 time NBA champ and 6 time finals MVP. I almost guarantee that Michael believes he can still play in the NBA.

Memphis MadnessParticipantOh yeah. Jordan is on the Mount Rushmore of ALL Pro Sports.
Jordan, Babe Ruth, plus two others.
Jim Brown and Muhammad Ali might be the other two guys on the all time Mt. Rushmore for Sports.

frogmanParticipantThey do play sports outside of the United States ya know. Not many people outside of the United States would even know who Jim Brown is.

eyefortalentParticipantYou can make a really strong argument that Wilt was the greatest and players like Frazier, Monroe, Rick Barry and Gus Williams think Wilt was better than Jordan.

CameronCrazy11ParticipantHow crazy is it that Michael Jordan and Jim Brown were both born on February 17th? I mean the odds of people sharing birthdays isn’t all that high, let alone two of the greatest athletes of all time.
On a side note, Muhammad Ali’s birthday is exactly one month before both of them. Something special about athletes being born on the 17th I guess.

Memphis MadnessParticipantCoaches of two of the best NBA teams in history have the same birthday as me.
Bill Sharman coached the Lakers title team that won 33 straight on the way to a 69 win season.
KC Jones coached the 1985-1986 loaded Boston Celtics team that beat the Rockets for the championship.
Both guys also had really good playing careers for the Celtics.

Memphis MadnessParticipantI think you could make a case for the Mount Rushmore being Jordan, Kareem, Wilt, and Russell.
Second team Mount Rushmore: Magic, Larry, LeBron, and Oscar Robertson.
Third team Mount Rushmore: Jerry West, Kobe, Tim Duncan, and Hakeem Olajuwon.
Fourth team Mount Rushmore: John Stockton, Shaq, George Mikan (the original great), and Dr. J (kept the league alive).
Next, Mount Malone with Karl and Moses.
… the Mount Rushmore of Athletes would be US or North America only, since Mount Rushmore only features US Presidents (so no Winston Churchill).
I would LOVE to see who the Mount Rushmore of US/North American athletes would be.
Jordan and Babe Ruth would be LOCKS. Probalby Wayne Gretzky too. Muhammad Ali, Joe Montana, Jim Brown, Wilt Chamberlain, and many others would contend for the fourth spot.
