mikeyvthedonParticipantJust beat CBC (Andre Drummond’s team) in the Adidas Super 64. That team has Perea, Yogi Ferrell, Jeremy Hollowell, Ron Patterson and Peter Jurkin (that name is just not right), all of whom are verbal commits to University of Indiana. I do not know if Perea dominates out of the gates, but he is definitely one of the more intriguing athletic specimens at the 4 in this class. I really hope he gets selected to the International team for the Hoop Summit next year so I can maybe see him play in person. He is originally from Colombia, and I am fairly sure he will be playing at Adidas Nations in a couple of weeks. Saw him play some last year, and he can fly, but he does need to get stronger and work on the fundamentals. More of a prospect than a player at this point, but potential is definitely there.

IndianaBoy20Participantmike- just wanna clear up a few things for you man… Ron Patterson left the team in May to play with his old AAU team again. He played the first evaluation period but isn’t playing right now. He is working on individual skills by himself right now. Peter Jurkin has struggled with a stress fracture in his leg since the high school season. He hasn’t played AAU all summer. As far as Hanner, I questioned whether he was going to be all potential and no results (Anthony Randolph) but he has added a nice running hook coming across the lane that he didn’t have going into summer.
p.s. its Indiana University. just lookin out man

mikeyvthedonParticipantHonestly, I appreciate the info. I really like gathering all the information possible, thanks for dropping knowledge. I should have known it was IU (I get weirded out when people say Oregon University instead of University of Oregon, so I feel you there), and I just got that those guys were on the team from the Indiana Elite website. I have been trying to get any info on the actual match-up between CBC and Indiana Elite that I could, has not been easy. Thanks for the info though, no offense taken whatsoever and I would love to hear more if you have any. I wish that they had a statistical system like Nike has for the EYBL that tells you box scores and had roster lists of exactly who was playing, but I had to make due with looking at team websites to hopefully gain some insight. Looked like I was wrong, at least with Patterson and Jurkin still being on the team.

IndianaBoy20ParticipantYeah I wish someone attempted to have box scores for summer ball. As far as last nights game, IE was up by 15-20 most of the second half. Yogi missed a free throw, Hanner spun around Drummond and tipped the miss in then got in Drummonds face and got T’d up. If you watch Hanner’s video you see he taunts a lot but i like how he lets them know what he just did on them ha. Not sure how interested you are in IU’s commits but insidethehall.com has good highlights of all their commits after each tournament.
D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera is playing with Indiana Elite in Vegas right now. Top 25 player in the country, playing at Oak Hill next year.

mikeyvthedonParticipantI have been to insidethehall.com and was just actually watching videos of the last time they played each other. How did you get the most recent game footage? Do you know how Drummond did in this most recent game in the Super 64? Either way, Indiana has a great class coming in. I thought it was kind of crazy that Elite lost all of their games in the Super Pool, than won their next 4. I am guessing they must have had amazing teams to go up against in Pool A, and Dream Vision should be a tough match-up with Shabazz and crew. Still, you have to love a class of players who have a lot of experience playing together. I am a big fan of Yogi Ferrell from Nations last year, and Jeremy Hollowell looks legit from all of the video I have seen on him. I saw Smith-Rivera at Nations last year too (just from watching games on TV) and he looks like a very nice scoring guard. I am hearing he could leave the state, though.
Really trying to find any info on what statistics players actually put up, as I find it interesting. Has been very hard to do for this particular tournament, other than the first day when I heard Drummond had back to back 21 point games, Shabazz had 38 against the ATL Celtics and Jordan Adams (UCLA commit) had 39 against Shabazz. I know stats are not the end all be all, but I just think it is kind of cool to see how everyone stacks up in statistical categories. Was one thing I loved having as far as the Nike EYBL went. D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera actually played in that league and did quite well, guessing that is why he is playing in the Fab 48 rather than the ADIDAS Super 64 (lol).
