Something in me says Ricky Rubio will force his way out of Minnesota and join the New York Knicks. I think a trade of Rubio and the #20 to New York for Landry Fields, Reynaldo Balkman and the #17 plus cash and a future 1st

if Minnesota get the first pick in the draft they will pick Kyrie Irving and then they alone will be looking to trade Rubio!

Maybe its because the NBA gravitates to every ignorant New York Fans will. Not every Knick fan…

I hope you understand how bad a shooter Rubio is. He makes Rondo look like Kyle Korver.

My gut feeling is that if Minnesota gets the first or 2nd pick they will trade it just to keep Ricky Rubio. Kahn is in love with him so I don’t see him trading Rubio but I do see him trading the first or second pick because it will likely be Irving and that is someone that Kahn wants to avoid because he does not want to stunt Rubio’s growth.

Kahn needs to save face with this draft, trading Rubio would certainly do that but he also will stay within his own gut feelings. And right know he feels very strongly that Rubio will come over and save their franchise. Which is why he do everything possible to not draft Irving. If he does draft him, it will only be to trade him later on in the draft.

Rubio does have a poor jumper but D’Antoni will work on that with him, I think having Rubio get a year backing up for Billups could tell the team alot and if it doesnt work then they can S&T during the summer and get Chris Paul

I think Billups is coming back.  Also considering Rubio will be able to take a bunch of 3’s and can get some solid training from someone, that is not a terrible deal.  Minny seem intent of keeping Rubio.  I am sure they are hoping they are not forced to consider Irving or Rubio because they have been hyping Rubio so much that if they did try to move him, would his value still be high.  Minny is dumb enough to wait and give up Rubio for barely nothing and watch him become a star on another team.  Hopefully Irving is healthy so it does not totally make them look stupid.

The Knicks aren’t gonna pick up that option on Billups, its about cap space. Now they may offer him a contract after they turn down the option for next season.

But the Rubio stuff son….stop it. I won’t go as far to say he is gonna flop, but he isn’t gonna be what many have projected him to be.

…everyone is saying billups won’t sign because of cap space…the alternative to billups signing is getting a big man on a 2-3 year contract. the bonus of actually resigning billups is that he comes off the books in the dwight howard/chris paul summer of 2012. just a thought.

ricky, after being massively overrated for a while, has now become pretty underrated. he gets less room and less shots in european basketball. he may not be a superstar in this league but he can be a good, good player…the rondo comparisons aren’t necassarily that far away. so considering ricky would be on a rookie salary scale for a couple of years, has a pass first mentality (good when playing with amare and anthony), understands the game and plays defense, he’d be a great pickup for NY.

i deffo think ricky should be traded from minny, because he’s not playing there. fact. however, i doubt david kahn get’s much value for him…because he’s david kahn.
