I think Ellis would be tradeable, not Curry. He’s young, a better passer, and is an excellent player. Ellis is too, but he’s also a bit of a ball hog. Collison may be a little slower than Curry. The Warriors already have a fast backcourt and it’s working great. Why fix it when it isn’t broken?

I’m not quite so sure the Pacers would be willing to give up both Collison and Granger and their 15th pick for only getting Curry. That’s alot to give up, and Curry and Biedrins may not be enough to entice the Pacers. They might insist on the Warriors involving David Lee in the trade as well.

Why would the pacers do another trade with the Warriors. You don’t trade to a bad team to get better.  How did that work for them last time? Well, they’re still experiencing the hangover. Dunleavy is about to come off the books and they had pull teeth to get rid of Murphy.  Diogu was a bust.  Why would the want Lee who plays no D…aka Murphy 2.0(minus the 3-point shooting)? Curry is nice, but the Pacers want to go Defense.  All the good teams in the Playoffs are winning with D.

For the person that said Collison is slower than Curry, Collison is one of the fastest players in the league right now.

But to the topic, I like this trade for the Warriors. They downgrade a bit at the PG but they gain an all star player at the SF gets rid of the bad contract of Biedris and still gets a serviceable PG (Collison) in return. This makes them a better team. IDK about the Pacers side, but it makes the Warriors a better team.

I would love for the pacers to get Curry, but come on! Who would be our go to scorer? Curry? Roy Hibbert?! Take out Collison and I still wouldn’t do this trade.

Is there any credible link to this rumor?  Seriously, this trade is well and beyond in favor of the Warriors.  I’m not buying this "rumor".  Hell I’m hard pressed to do Granger for Curry (from the Pacers standpoint) straight up let alone this deal.

Definetely stacked for the Warriors, I mean come on? Really? The Warriors should focus on cashing out Monta and unloading Biedrins. Biedrins shouldn’t be impossible because he still stands 7 feet tall, and Monta could bring in some valuable assets. The Warriors have some nice assets, but they are stuck in a rut about whether to rebuild or compete? They are in the middle, and must commit to the current roster and the contracts they’ve tied their hands with, or completely rebuild. If I’m the GM, I’m at least looking to trade everyone’s ass except Curry and Wright. Something needs to be done.

I do not know how I feel about this trade – On one hand, I want to say no right away. Curry is a very good player with the potential to get better. He’s young and cheap right now. Yes, dumping Biedrins would be good but not at the expense of Curry.

Trade Monta, he had a nice healthy year this year, is a scorer who can create his own shot, which I know a lot of teams could use. Plus, his contract is huge. Monta would not get you as a big as a hall as Curry would, but trading Monta would free up some cap room, plus maybe you can add some size to your backcourt.

On the other hand, Collison and Granger plus a first is a decent hall for Curry and Biedrins. But it doesn’t solve their problem, their backcourt would still be small. Having Granger who is a nice defensive player would help defend but he cannot defend everyone. Collison is an allright defender as well.

The only way i would be happy with this trade is if i knew Paul George was going to be a 20ppg scorer to replace the ouput that we lose in Granger. I have no idea that that will happen so would say no to it.

Let me put it another way for the Warriors: Collison may be faster than Curry, but the backcourt of Curry and Ellis is doing great right now. Why fix it when it ain’t broken?

But the Pacers are definitely giving too much up in this trade. No way this deal goes through

I cant believe I am saying this as a Warriors fan, but I say take it. I love curry, and he is the future of our team. I remember during the 2009 draft I was hoping David Kahn would come through and not pick curry…… twice!!Many people had questions about how his game would transtlate to the NBA, but I could tell form the start, he was going to being somthing special, but this deal would have us moderately stacked. Colison, Ellis, Granger, Lee, and Udoh, That lineup is pretty good. Plus you got Dorell Wright as your sixth man, and some average role players in Radmonavich, Lou Ambonson, and reggie williams plus our top 11 pick, and the pacers 15. Now I know that is not a championship contender, but a seventh or eighth seed sounds reasnoble. But honestly, I do not see the Pacers bitting for the exact deal, but if it happens, this season might be different.

i may be here on his own but i think GSW should keep Monta and trade Curry, i just see Monta as a potential franchise player and Curry as not more than a very good PG.

one thing is for sure, Curry-Ellis doesn’t work together if you have pretensions to be a successful team, one of them have to go and if i’m the Warriros Ellis is the player i’ll keep and i’ll try to find good fit next to him, you can earn more from trading Curry than from keep him next to Ellis just because it’s not a good fit.
