kobyzParticipantthey have two option: to trade Stephen Curry or to trade Monta Ellis, i don’t mention a third option of keeping both cause i think only fool will think it’s a right move.
so who you got as the one that Warriors should keep?
for me it’s an easy question, Monta Ellis should definitely be the player.
Monta Ellis is such a speicel player, offensive machine, make big impact on the game, has so much potential that it is hard for me if i’m GS to give up on, Monta Ellis to me still has room to grow and could reach a top 10 player in this league.
imo Ellis could take a team much higher than what Curry would be able.
Monta Ellis just need to put the work and to become more complete player, GS on their side should try to find a good complementary for Ellis at the two guard position and now with the selection of Klay Thompson in the draft they might found that player, as Thompson is a tall second guard with absolute shooting, impresive passing for his position and even with a little PG skills.
also Stephen Curry being on his rookie contract and probably has more trade value right now is another incentive to prefer Monta Ellis as the one to keep.0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/04/2011 - 1:42pm #563229

jazz270ParticipantYeah, please send an unwanted Stephan Curry to the Jazz, we’ll give you your first round pick back, and throw in Paul Millsap.
Sounds fair to me. The Jazz with Stephan Curry are an immediate playoff team, and a serious contender in a couple of years when the youngsters grow up.
It ‘aint gonna happen, no way the Warriors trade Curry. Ellis will be the one traded, if anyone. Sap would help the Warriors front line, and that pick next year could be a doozy. Curry is my boy, though. Love watching him play.

aamir543ParticipantWhat! I am a Warriors fan, and I love Ellis and Curry. In fact I dont think we can get equal value for both, but why cant they improve together? Why cant we give Curry some frickin growth hormones to make him grow frickin 3 inches, that would solve all the problems. Their games compliment each other, and they are decent enough defenders. What we need is defensive and rebounding centers, and just hope that Klay Thompson can become a solid wing player, and that Jeremy Tyler realizes his true potential.

ilike.panochasParticipantThey don’t need to break that backcourt up, thats not the Warrior’s problem. What they need is more quality big men. David Lee is a good PF, but after that they have a bunch of bigs that are weak offensively.

PlatypusParticipantTrade idea:
Andreis Biedrins for Charlie V and Dajuan Summers
Det: gets a defensive big that they badly need
Knight – Hamilton – Daye – Monroe – Biedrins
Bynum – Gordon – Singler – Maxiell – Wallace
GSW: gets a big who can score/shoot
Curry – Ellis – Thompson – Charlie V – Lee
Lin – Wright – Summers – Udoh – Tyler

B-ball fanParticipantGS wouldn’t do that trade. Biedrins isn’t of great value to GS, but Villanueva can’t help GS. GS would trade Biedrins as filler or for cap relief, not to do neither. A Lee-Villanueva frontcourt wouldn’t work.

kobyzParticipant3 teams Trade idea:
Toronto: David Lee, Kemba Walker, DeSagana Diop for Andrea Bargnani, Amir Johnson, Jerryd Bayless, Linas Kleiza.
Toronto replace Bargnani in David Lee who will be better fit to big V in the future and get Kemba Walker to give them what they want at PG. get rid of Linas Kleiza horrible contract.Toronto Raptors:
Kemba Walker/Jose Calderon
DeMar DeRozan/Leandro Barbosa
James Johnson//Sonny Weems/Julian Wright
David Lee/Ed Davis/Joey Dorsey
(Jonas Valanciunas)/DeSagana Diop/Solomon AlabiGSW: Andrea Bargnani, D.J. Augustin, Amir Johnson, Dante Cunningham for David Lee, Stephen Curry.
Golden State get rid from Lee bad long contract mistake and replace him with the much more potential Bargnani, free the backcourt to be for Monta and make him the man, bring Augustin, another quality PG especially for a back up and get some more talent over the board with Amir Johnson and Dante Cunningham.Golden State Warriors:
Monta Ellis/D.J. Augustin/Jeremy Lin
Klay Thompson/Charles Jenkins/Charlie Bell
Dorell Wright/Reggie Williams/Dante Cunningham
Andrea Bargnani/Amir Johnson/Louis Amundson
Andris Biedrins/Ekpe Udoh/Jeremy TylerCharlotte: Stephen Curry, Jerryd Bayless, Linas Kleiza for Kemba Walker, D.J. Augustin, DeSagana Diop, Dante Cunningham.
getting more value with the swap of Stephen Curry and Jerryd Bayless in Kemba Walker and D.J. Augustin, so to make the deal balance have to take Kleiza contract with that.Charlotte Bobcats:
Stephen Curry/Jerryd Bayless
Gerald Henderson/Matt Carroll
Corey Maggette/Linas Kleiza
Boris Diaw/Tyrus Thomas/D.J White/Eduardo Najera
