Grizzlies @ Thunder
OKC with the comeback and momentum, down by only 2.
This game is going to have a great finish
I really like Pondexter's play. Seems to play with a high motor and isn't afraid of anybody.
I expect Memphis to win this game by 11.....But surprisingly OKC has been competitive and have hung right in there...Mainly becuz they've been moving the ball around hitting the open man...
Memphis lack of perimeter shooting really needs to be addressed during the off the off season...
I like Memphis' bench period. Dooling, Bayless, Pondexter and Arthur.
I picked OKC to win this series in seven due to the greatness of Durant, but Memphis is tough.
Tie game with 3 minutes, this is gonna have a great end
He's too damn good.
Perkins + Ibaka = 2/16 with 7 points, 12 rebounds.. Z-bo + Marc Gasol = 15/30 with 38 points, 19 rebounds.
Talk about getting outplayed. Durants just beasting it though.
If you would have shown me this stats before the game and have told me the Grizz lost this one I wouldn't have believed this.
A major blow to Memphis as they could have already pushed the Thunder into the rows.
Durant was spectacular and Martin finally seems to find a rythm.
Brooks has earned a lot of heat for playing Fisher so much but until now it worked out for them and Fish had some key moments in critical situations.
If the Thunder can manage to hold their own on the boards, make their freethrows and if the frontcourt finally gets some stops while Ibaka manages to make his shots they have a chance to advance and that are a lot of ifs...
The statistic is now with the Thunder as the team which wins the first game advances to the next round most of the time.
KD IS NOT NICE!
DAM MIKE Conley!!! Back 2 Back MISTAKES Might cause the team the Game..This is where they miss Rudy, becuz he opened things up inside for Randolph and Gasol......
Too much pressure for the kid.. My god.
You can't call those "mistakes" on Conley lol.
He drove hard into the lane and Fisher got a hand on the ball. And then the other play was more of a tough pass by Gasol than a mistake by Conley. I thought there was contact between Thabo and Conley making Conley fall out of bounds.
I highly disagree that Memphis misses Gay. They're a better team without him.
They miss Rudy becuz they looked so confused as to who would take that final shot...And with no consistent outside shooting,it causes the defense to sag in on Z Bo and Gasol.....And everyone knows Conley was going to drive into the lane...He should've brought the ball out until they could get a better shot....
Rudy gay might take last shots but he hasn't provided consistent outside shooting since 2011. He's been shooting worse than 35% from beyond 16 feet for the last 3 years. Really weird because he had been steadily improving up till that point. Looks like he played well for the first year of his big contract then gave up
quincy pondexter be choking
He's not a great FT shooter in the first place. So he missed the first one in one of the loudest places in the NBA, with the pressure of an entire game on his shoulders, that's a very tough shot to make. He missed the third one on purpose, Gasol decided that before his 3rd FT and told him to miss it hard, he did a great job having it bounce well but Gasol was boxed out very far from the ball. That's not choking.
That has to be a really frustrating loss for Memphis. They had a lot of opportunities down the stretch, but just couldn't convert. Gasol should have just taken that shot at the end. His game seems built for those end of the game possessions.
Man, Memphis was supposed to get that one, Perkins and Ibaka aint do nothin, that could have been a huge steal for Memphis taking a win from OKC Crib, interesting series now.....
I Take back what i said about Conley causing back 2 back turnovers..I saw the game live,we sat 5 rows from the floor...Later i saw the replays on tv and saw Fisher swiped the ball away...And on the 2nd play it appeared that Conley was pushed, but the refs didnt call it....
Memphis must get Bayless to step....
