This is a possible trade that has been thrown around a lot and I think it will benefit both teams. What do yall think?

    Grizzlies Outgoing
-#2 pick (Rights to Ricky Rubio)
    -Darko Milicic
    -Next years Laker pick
    -Darrell Arthur

    Grizzlies Recieving
    -#4 (Rights to James Harden)
    -Jason Thompson

    Kings Outgoing
    -#4 (Rights to James Harden)
    -Jason Thompson

    Kings Recieving
-#2 pick (Rights to Ricky Rubio)
    -Darko Milicic
    -Next years Laker pick
    -Darrell Arthur

The Grizzlies get their Power Forward of the future and a good 6th man in Harden. Who could become the starting shooting guard if Mayo is moved to point.

    Lineup
    Marc Gasol/Hamed Hadadi
    Jason Thompson/Hakim Warrik
    Rudy Gay/Sam Young (#27)
    OJ Mayo/James Harden
    Mike Conley/OJ Mayo/Darren Collison (#35)

The Kings get their star point guard who makes everyone better in Rubio, an expiring contract and decent role player in Milicic, future pick, and good young prospect in Arthur.

    Spencer Hawes/Darko Milicic
    Darrell Arthur/Tyler Hansbrough(#23)
    Francisco Garcia/Donte Greene
    Kevin Martin/Rashad Mccants
    Ricky Rubio/Beno Udrih

I think if they trade down it’s either for Hill or Evans. I’m not sold on Harden and I’m hearing day in and out how much they love Reke.

i’ve been saying it in every post about a kings/grizzlies trade, the kings will not give up jason thompson! he and hawes are pretty much untouchable.

I think when it’s all said and done, Harden will be the best player to come out of this draft. He is the most NBA-ready and he is basketball athletic (though rather slow). I see him being somewhat like Gilbert Arenas in the future, and I also believe he will end up alongside the Hibachi in Washington.

Even though Jordan Hill is apparently slipping down draft boards, I still think Sacramento takes him 4th. Besides, they are going to draft for need, not the best available, and they NEED another big man or a point, which makes me think they might trade down if anything and get a point guard of equal skill to Rubio but for lesser value (Flynn, Evans, Holiday, Teague, or Lawson).

If The Kings Trade away Thompson they have ZERO 4s thats the point Diogu is a R-FreeAgent .. no guarantee and I HIGHLY doubt Sacramento will Draft a Future PF at 23…. lets be realistic…

Does it mean Petrie wont pull a Strange Trade … sure its possible, I just don’t think its going to be simple as a single swap I would see more likely a 3 team deal adding in a PF ..

I just love how people throw in these Rumors with nothing backing it but chatter on this message board…The Kings should wait and see .. if Rubio goes 2 and not 4 there is Flynn, Holiday,Lawson and Curry….Giving up JThompson who has proven his skill and Rubio as much as I like him hasn’proved anything accept that he gets injured in a less physical league …

Where is your point exactly? That you don’t read something all the way through? They are getting Arthur and Hawes can play PF.

Arthur is never going to be more than a serviceable backup in the league, and the Kings are going to want more than Hawes at the 4. At least Hill has a lot of upside, where Arthur has a very low ceiling. Sure, Hawes can play PF, but I think most teams would rather have Hill because of his potential (I hate saying that word) than Arthur. Hill is far more athletic, he can run the floor extremely well, and he has a nice baseline jumper.

What makes Hill’s potential so much better? What if Arthur would have stayed in college another year? Where would he be ranked in power forwards. He was better than all the power forwards this year except for griffin last year

I like Jason Thompson and Harden or Evans for Rubio and Darko and possibly Arthur. That’s a pretty good trade on both sides. Darko will probably get moved somewhere this season because he is a good bargaining chip with that contract expiring.

I do find it hard to believe that the Kings would make that move though.

I like the idea of Rubio playing for Memphis though and being a big star along side OJ heh

Arthur is a poor bargaining chip let alone The Kings looked at drafting him last year and did not. I am sure they know what he is worth… and comprehend that is they lost Thompson and moved Hawes to the 4 who would The Kings have at the 5 …. you are not getting it they have no depth at the 4 and 5 so again it makes little to no sense.

You think Darko is what the Kings need cause he is so serviceable you want to Trade him…? Also you think the kings have to salary cap space to take Darko …Nope not unless Grizz take KThomas..Just this alone makes the trade not possible. Hansbrough is very unlikely to be around at 23…. Its fine its what you think but this holds no weight. I am no insulting you I am a Kings fan heart and soul… I also no Petrie can pull off some strange Trades…. This one just wont work
