Biedrins had an off year because of injuries. When healthy he's a great rebounder, and he can run the floor for GS's system. I'm sure GS wants to dump Maggette's bad contract, but is his contract so bad that GS must also give up its pick and a young, relatively cheap and improving center in Biedrins for nothing? Koufos is just filler in the trade, and GS would be trading down...so why would GS do this deal? This is selling as low as you can on Biedrins, in my opinion.

Add to that the fact that there's new management coming in...there won't be any big trades going down until then, and that would count as a pretty big trade.

What did the Jazz do to

What did the Jazz do to Ronnie Brewer BLaZerMaNN.com? He is not on the team not because they dont like him. In fact they very much wanted to keep him and if was not for Memphis pushing to have him, they would have kept him. Utah actually turned down many offers for him from memphis throughout the season. And then finally they blew Utah's doors off with a potential lottery pick in the next 4 years. Essentially the Jazz traded him to save money to resign Boozer not because they did not like him. They realized they could not resign him in the offseason so sadly they let him go. D wil was upset about this too, but eventually all realized the advantages this brought. Just because a team traded someone does not mean they dishonered him or the team in general.

If they are going to trade up they should try and do it so they can also get a late first round pick. I'd say Sactown, Detroit, and Minny are all potential trade up teams. AK is the guy they would probably trade but because of his contract the trade would have to be big, which is why New Jersey is out of contention not because of their love for russian players but because they have no one aside from Lopez and Harris that interest the Jazz, and no way they are offering their premier guys.

For Detroit I'd say AK, for Prince, 7th pick. (including the 9th pick would mess up the salaries)
Minny: AK and 9th pick for Jefferson, and 16th pick. (probably wont happen because Minny is not offering their 4th pick to the Jazz not unless we mistakenly look like Philly.)
Sactown: AK and 9th pick for Nocioni, 5th pick, and Garcia(most possible trade up, Garcia could be taken out but I had to include him in their because I know Utah would love a veteran player to help develop Matthews and Miles, two very young guards who are starting to play well and come into their own but still need some veteran help)

Monroe said that he never takes a day off; what do you call the game versus Syracuse and the non effort of 8pts and 4 rebounds, and then in the tournament he played excellent. Even had 7 assists that day??? Sounds like someone took a day off during the regular season.
