McWinningParticipantcall me crazy but i think Monroe will have the better career. Monroes is already a great rebounder, dont forget Monroe was playing with two guards who controlled the ball alot, and hes a very versatile player he reminds me of Andray Blatche, maybe better.
Favors is intriguing but i wouldnt take him with a top five pick, he just doesnt have enough of an offensive game and reminds me more of Tyrus Thomas, than Amare Stoudemire.

Mr. BasketballParticipanthes the safer pick, but picking monroe over favors can get you fired so i doubt anyone would do that.

IknoBall12ParticipantI think Favors long term potential is jus much better. I think monroe is jus really soft and prob wont ever be as agressive as he should be. Favors on the other hand i think will be a monster in 2 or 3 years. Im sure he will work on his post game and jumper and once he gets the feel 4 the nba i think the game will come easy 4 him

JNixonParticipantGive me Monroe. He’s easily more skilled at everything. He is a better post scorer, passer, shooter, and he seems like he’ll be just as good a rebounder. Favors isn’t even better than Monroe on defense either. I would take Monroe over Favors in a heartbeat. He’s simply better. Favors is just a better athlete. Watch, Monroe will be better than Favors.

ilike.panochasParticipantI can see Greg Monroe’s career numbers going 15PPG 10 Reb 5 Assist per game. Give me Monroe over Favors all the way. The guy has too much basketball IQ to fail in the NBA.

Meditated StatesParticipantIn an NBA system he does not have to be the man just a skilled peice. Do it all well type guy.

sc0rebuckets11ParticipantI see more K-mart in Favors, than anyone else. I think anyone agrees that Favors has more talent than Monroe, and I see Favors being that monster with a chip on his shoulder.
That’s why I think Favors is gonna be a better pro, bc i see his work ethic being better than Monroe’s.

butidonthavemoneyRemember, Monroe has greatly improved (though is still probably average by NBA standards) his rebounding. He also has a filled out frame. So his work ethic doesn’t seem to be lacking.
I think that Favors is the better prospect, but both have all-star potential.
The Nets and the Kings should take Cousins ahead of either IMO.

ball4life66ParticipantMonroe is solid but Favors will be a much better pro.

JNixonParticipantHow is Favors more talented than Favors? He’s more athletic, but more talented? How is that?

stanford hoopsi was just thinking that….favors is not more talented or skilled. hes a raw big young kid thats athletic. he has more potential because of his age and athletic ability but its not a given he will reach it. how many times has a raw player ever became a dominate or very good offensive player? there are a couple of guys in this post who are gonna say favors no matter what because they were in love with him in highschool and live off of that and no matter what everyone says (even nba scouts) about how raw he is on offense they will still believe he has great foot work and skills. favors is the type of player that will get you fired. players who are just potential and dont live up to it is what gets you fired not guys who arent as athletic but are very skilled. you got that mixed up buddy
