laarethekingsParticipantI don’t understand how everyone does not have him in there top 3 right now. He’s a 6-11 PF who can shoot, take people off the dribble and run like the wind blows. Ok so he needs to work on his back to the basket but what kid does not need some form of work on his game. I think people are getting on him because of what his team did ( falling apart ). He could be a pick and roll, pick and pop guy. I think Sheed when I look at him right now. In 1995 when Sheed was drafted Joe Smith, McDyess and Stackhouse were taken before Sheed was. Who do you think that those teams would take if they could do it over again. Only one person belongs in front of Sheed thats KG. Don’t sleep on Monroe not many ball player have this kids game.

rhbispParticipantYou say that like it’s a bad thing. Webber did go #1, and had career averages of 20/10/4. Heck he was even chipping in with steals and blocks too. If you knew you were getting that with pick three, you’d take that, wouldn’t you? I know Webber had better teammates at Michigan, but he took them far in the tournament and Monroe took Georgetown to the NIT. I’d use a top 5 pick on Monroe, but I don’t see him making multiple all-star teams or being the best player on a championship contender.

sheltwon3ParticipantMonroe should be at least top 5 but i do understand that many people fall in love with the young unknown over a more proven thing but I think Monroe will be like Griffin and be even better his second year but if Wall is a good as advertised than Monroe will not go Number one.
