European BasketballerParticipantI want to talk here now about Greek player Giannoulis Larentzakis, that I have talked about here a few times before.
I said here before some times that he should be drafted by NBA and that NBA made a mistake that he was not drafted.
He was eligible for draft last year and was not drafted, but he should have been as I said.
Now he proves that I was right, and that again, NBA is biased against Greek players. Because it makes no sense how someone as good as him cannot even be a late 2nd round draft pick.
This is a player that is 6-5 and can play either guard position. He is good on defense and he is very good on offense. He is a very good shooter and scorer, and also a good ball handler.
If he was American, he would be considered as a NCAA senior right now.
Again, no logical explanation or reason can be given as to why NBA did not draft him, since for all through youth levels he was proven as one of the top 3 scorers in Europe in his age group.
Here is a YouTube clip of him playing in Greek first division league:

Again, there is no rational reason why such players are not drafted by the NBA. It keeps being proven that NBA simply will not give Greek players a chance, unless they consider them non Greek, how the NBA clearly implied or even directly said they don’t consider Koufos, Calathes, or Antetokounmpo brothers to be Greek over and over through their comments.

GronounoursParticipantEither each and every NBA GM hates Greece and would rather lose a lot of money than draft a terrific Greek player
Or you’re so biased you’re not able to see that those ‘terrific’ players are just average.
OK, I’ve made up my mind: they’re all racist !

European BasketballerParticipantOr maybe you are incapable of grasping that good Greek players don’t get drafted, but average ones from all over the world get drafted instead of them. Therefore, you are not mentally capable of seeing the problem.

European BasketballerParticipantHe’s not backing up any American player. Also, there are no such things as backups and starters in European basketball. That’s a strictly American basketball concept.
You just have places in a rotation in Europe.
Actually the best player in Europe over the years, in many cases, were often players that never started a game. Euroleague MVP award has been won multiple times by players that never started a single game.
No coach in Europe cares about a caste system of starters and bench. It is totally irrelevant to any strategy in European basketball, where players don’t feel they have to start to feel important.
Besides that fact, Larentzakis is a starter in his team, so your claim is not even true, despite that being a starter or bench player is totall irrelevant in Europe, and that even the best players of all time in Euroleague onl;y averaged like 20-25 minutes of playing time.
Your comment here is a clear proof that you have zero knowledge about European basketball, and that you should keep your comments about it to yourself.
