Magic JordanParticipantGreat read, and Bleacher Report in the same sentence. That’s not something you hear everyday.

ExumInfernoParticipantThey were some good statistics, it backed up what fans watching would be thinking. A few things to think about from that, and one of them might be that Kendall Marshall is actually a very solid player even with his percentages. Another thing, maybe Westbrook is a better passer than many think.

Rip255Has anyone noticed that ‘Hockey Assists’ are now being recorded.
Are you buying or selling on it’s relevance?

Magic JordanParticipantI’m buying. Not in the sense that its up there with some of the others in regards to relevance, but I think many times the pass before the pass is just as important.
More importantly in this day of statistics and an overall fan of numbers, the more the merrier to me.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantI’m buying. You hear players talk that sometimes guys who get called great passers are actually selfish, for example Ray Allen on Rondo, because they only look to pass for the direct assist, not move the ball so one more pass can lead to a bucket. Recording hockey assists can aid in showing a players true motivation to helping the team score.

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantYour assist comment is dead on. Many times the defense has been broke down 2 or 3 passes before the bucket due to good point play. Stats don’t do enough to paint an accurate picture at times.
