R-Dot-13ParticipantAm I the only one having trouble figuring out who they will take with this pick?
Assuming the top 6 are Davis, T-Rob, Beal, MGK, Drummond, Barnes (In no particular order)
I dont see them drafting Lillard, as they have curry, and they are set with Klay at SG, and picking a SF after barnes is gone theres a big gap in between. They could take Beal if he drops, and maybe Lamb also but its a tough one for me.
What do you think they should do?

ChrisCrossParticipantI think one of the Jones, Terrence or Perry, would be a good pick for them

nateoak10ParticipantI think Terrence could still be the pick but its less likely now . I think Sullinger is the guy , we do need a 3rd big badly. We will likely try and trade the pick though. If we can’t and pick Sullinger I think we will deal some of our other picks to move up for Royce White, Jeff Taylor or Harkless

ChrisCrossParticipantyea I saw, not sure how much stock they put into work outs, since they aren’t really playing 5-5 bball, just doing different drills and such. If I were GS I’d still look to take one of them regardless, since individual drills don’t really show how a guy can play in a team. I think if you saw with Terrence this year, he didn’t put up huge numbers, but he did a bit of everything for UK to help win a title, without him UK wouldn’t have one a title. He showed he can fit in with a team and do bunch of different things to improve a team.

Moon RiverParticipantI think they have to go big (too high for Leonard?). Bogut is a walking injury.

mosdefParticipantyou are right that the team needs a SF but if Barnes and MKG arent there according to predictions then I dont want them to reach for a SF
Terrence Jones- just worked out with GSW. He did okay but he is more of a tweener like Al Harrington or Antwan Jamison. I would be ok with it but not thrilled buz he was never the dude at Kentucky.
Perry Jones- should not be drafted in the lottery and I dont care if I get negged. all he does is make excuses of why de doesnt succeed. he said he played out of position in college. in our workout he didnt do so hot and he said he was really nervous for his first workout. just ball dude
Sullinger- Im okay with Sullinger. Brings a big body rebounder but his 1 on 1 defense in the NBA I would be afraid of. I think Terrence Jones actually brings more defensive potential then Sullinger. I would also worry about how he would fit with the newly acquired Bogut.
Rivers- everyone knows this is my dude for my team. He has high BBIQ cuz he is a players son, just like Klay Thompson and Steph Curry. We dont need another Guard but he might be the best chance at exploding in the NBA were the other guys are just fit in guys, IMO. Also, Jerry West is in our front office and he once traded for Kobe Bryant when he had Eddie Jones and Nick Van Exel. Lacob hired JW for his input and if West says Rivers I think he is the guy. He has a higher chance of being picked then Lillard cuz Rivers size at 6’5”
Henson- I think this is the dark horse here cuz his workouts in SAC looked good with his jumper from 3. He wasnt asked to handle alot in UNC but if he can block shots and hit the open 3, he may turn out to be a Robert Horry or Tashawn Prince type cuz I know his length will cause problems so he just has to be able to keep up with the wings on the perimeter.

mosdefParticipantI liked your theory of Sullinger and trading up for a SF of White or Taylor. Im not the biggest Harkless fan cuz Id rather resign Rush and put him at the SF

NCarmean18ParticipantI think they will trade the pick for a veteran small forward.
Andre Iguodala, Rudy Gay, and Wilson Chandler are all good candidates for the job.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI’m glad they got probably the sh!ttiest pick in the draft. Can’t believe they tanked nearly the entire second half of the season.

KHAM83ParticipantTheir most obvious need is at SF, but like you said, Barnes and MKG will be gone and that’ll be too high for any other SF prospect. If they cannot move their pick for a SF vet, I see them probably reaching for a player to come off the bench at both the 5 and 4. I’m thinking Henson or Zeller.

mosdefParticipantif Jerry West say Austin Rivers and they select Rivers then it could be a blessing cuz many think Rivers at 7 is kind of high. If he was in the top 5 people would be screaming….though I do rank him as the 2nd best NBA prospect in the draft

theONEweALLknowParticipantGS is just happy to have there first round pick this year the jazz wish they were in that position but i do agree it is hard because they have to decide between two tweeners a player who is being compared to the player they just traded last season or a pf who i dont think really fits there offense…somewhere jerry west is praying mkg or barnes somehow slips to them!
