As a Kings fan I have been saying all along that I just wanted to stay in the top 7 because there were 7 guys I really liked – The Big Three, Exum, Randle, Vonleh and Smart.  It’s not that I don’t like the Gordons and Sarics of the world, I just saw a drop off at 8.

So now that the Kings are sitting at 8 is someone going to fall in love with Gordon or LaVine or someone else?  If not then who should/will the Kings take at 8?  I have had visions of a DMC, McLemore and Smart/Vonleh core and it is fading away…

I keep reading that they are selling the pick for veterans. Obvious needs are pf and/or pg. Cannot think off the top of my head of who may be available.

Larry Sanders was brought up in another post, but he’s due to make so much $ I’m not sure Sac town would be interested.

well, i think it’s obvious embiid, parker, wiggins and exum are going 1-4.

utah may shop their pick because they need wing help and it’d be a reach for anyone at 5.  gordon doesn’t make sense since kanter and favors clog the paint.  smart is out of the running with burke around.  they may continue to play kanter off the bench and draft vonleh.  that’s my guess.

boston is interesting.  espn reports they really like gordon and it makes sense since olynyk and sully like to shooter perimeter shots and could use a guy for offensive board work.  they could also try to move rondo and draft smart as a replacement.  they would be the best bet to go after gordon.

lakers have a wide open roster.  i think they are going to try to put a roster together to appease kobe.  smart or randle makes the most sense since they are the most nba ready.

basically, i think it’ll come down to boston.

Agreed, I have heard that Boston likes Gordon.  But enough to take him at 6?  Here is hoping!

I dont quite understand why Isaiah Thomas continues to be inexplicably forgotten when discussing the Kings future.

    25 years old

    20 ppg, 6 apg, 3 rpg, 45/35/85 shooting, 20+ PER,

So what if he’s only 5’9”…
