SupParticipantGilbert is moving pretty good, I don’t know if he can still jump but other than that he’s good money.

JNixonParticipantI was expecting an explanation as to why you feel this way (I agree though, especially until Wall proves himself like Arenas has), but I guess I won’t get

SupParticipantYou heard it here first. Gilbert will have a Mike Vick level comeback.

airicthemanParticipantDid everyone forget why he wears #0? Haters beware!!!!!!

SupParticipantExplanation, I just saw their practice and Gilbert was impressive throughout. John Wall looked stoppable and his point guard skills seemed average.

ghettosermonParticipant^^ He’s actually #9 now.

Mr. 19134ParticipantAgent9 was always deadly first and foremost because he was an assassin from deep. I expect Gil to be in full sniper mode this season.

joecheck88Participanthe beat the jaguars and lions(with a backup qb). lets see what happens when he plays washington, dallas, giants, etc. and im a philly guy but you cant buy into his success thusfar. and of course gilbert looks better, he has been in the league for like 8 years. wall will get better just like gilbert did.

Toronto16ParticipantWho cares who the Eagles played, Vick looks great. Throwing from the pocket for TD’s, running, that man is winning MVP.

ghettosermonParticipantNo offense man and I am a huge Vick fan and happy for him but handicapping the MVP race after 3 games is like saying that Brandon Jennings was on his way to the MVP award after he scored 55 against Golden State in his 5th game.

Mr. 19134ParticipantMichael Vick is playing out of his mind and the Eagles would probably be 3-0 had he started the Green Bay game. And you can judge after 3 games because if you watch the game tape Vick is playing about as good as a quarterback can possibly play, what is really standing out is his decision making with the ball. Instead of taking flight as soon as the pocket breaks down he’s keeping his head up and finding receivers that change to his game has been the biggest reason for his success and its so fun to watch. He has been like a godsend thus far.

AlexanderNevermindParticipantGA is sorta like Vick in a sense. All accounts point to a full recovery from the knee and now he has a true point guard which will allow him to concentrate on getting buckets Wall is gonna be so nice for him and the team especially when he gets a true J. All the doubters need to remember when Gil was at his best. Antonio Daniels was running the point for 20-25 minutes a game and Gil was at the 2. Gil will also help Wwall from having to handle the team the whole game on his own. fukc Im sorta hyped for some ball this yr!!!

MelParticipantWhat Vick did was probably one of the BIGGEST sports scandals of ALL_TIME (in my best Kanye voice) in comparison to Arenas.. Most people dont even know what GA did. Now Vick is synonymous with dogs..
But anyways, I hope Arenas can come back full force because even before the gun charge he was hurt, so I hope he and Wall can tear it up.
Man that Southeast Division is looking craaaaazy.

MagikKnickParticipantO_o
When did Gilbert Arenas change his number…? I just realized…WTF
0 - Posted on: Tue, 09/28/2010 - 10:51am #407161
JoeWolf1Yeah, just because Gilbert got busted for having a gun doesn’t mean he automatically became a bad basketball player. He was averaging 22, 7, and 4 last year and he isn’t exactly over the hill. His role will be different this year with Wall, but I’d expect a 20 + ppg and 4 or 5 apg (only because he will be playing more sg).
Everyone is fixated on Wall averaging 18-20 ppg next season, but he’s a better distributer than take over offensive point guard this year. He’ll drop about 15-16 ppg, IMO, which will still give Gilbert plenty of room to score.

leppyParticipantis still the best pg in washington right now. obviously wall will be on another level some day. arenas was.
its too bad he forced to play outta position to young great pgs

JJeff6ParticipantI agree, Gilbert can still do a lot on the court, hes only 28. As of right now, John Wall is a rookie learning his way into the NBA (he will eventually be better than Agent9). Gilbert Arenas hopefully will set a good example for him and get him on the right track. As of right now, Gilbert is better.

andxxxParticipantJohn Wall can become better than Gil but if Gil returns to his days back in 06-07 there werent too many players better than that Gilbert arenas.

sc0rebuckets11Participanthuh?
come on, vick is playing the best he’s ever played..
did i mention.. EVER.
so to say arenas is going to have a vick type comeback is crazy to say, but i think arenas will be really good next yr ( i hope so, he’s on my dynasty team)
btw, i thought arenas>wall was a given.

M-DYMESParticipantPut Arenas in an arena and pass him a L, what ya got now…an Arsenal 😉
He’ll leave ur jersey with a 0 in it.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 09/30/2010 - 10:33am #407850
M-DYMESParticipantHell leave ur jersey in stitches.
He’s trigger happy.
He’s got range.
Agent 0. Maybe he’s Secret Service. Obama Drama.
When he ain’t shootin well he resorts to throwin bricks.
He knows how to take a charge.
He’s got a shooter’s touch.
But in all seriousness, Gilbert seems like a 100% changed man. He seems like he is ALL business now. He’s matured and is a quieter guy, I do like to see some personality but I think he is trying to prove that he is matured now and is going to take the job as his profession rather than just playing a sport. I just hoped he aint depressed cuz he certainly is not the same character guy after seeing media day interviews. He seems more humbled than anything though IMO.
