He got a 10 day contract from the New Jersey Nets, anybody think he can make a impact? He is still only 26 and recently one the D-League All Star Game MVP and if you watched the game he does still have skill, his head is above the rim on every play its insane but his shootings improved and I think he can make the team and make some impact

Nah I don’t see him doing anything but keeping his chair warm at the end of the bench…

He’s played the most out of any bench player for the Nets today, even though he has 3 fouls.  5 points so far, not too  shabby

He looked very active out there and was ACTUALLY TRYING. Doesnt look like hes lost much of his athleticism!

I am curious if he finally has learned to play any D whatsoever. He has the athleticism, but minimal BBIQ.

Great move by the Nets to pick him up, they needed some athletic wings badly, and he might have a chance to stick if he can keep playing his role. At the end of the day, he’s still yet to hit his prime, and his problem has never been talent, just a consistent focus. Would love to see him bounce back and even end up in Boston backing up Ray Allen again.

No, it’s worth a shot though.

and I wasn’t alone. 6’8 shooting guard who was crazy athletic and could shoot the lights out. He even could drive strong with his shoulder down and would dip down and pull up like McGrady if you backed away from him to stop the drive. The fact that he’s even being in the league now is a surprise and a good story. Hopefully things changed in his life, it was rumored he hung with a bad crowd, a twenty to life type of crowd. A few years ago he was cut from his hometown Rockets, because Rick Adelman called him the dumbest basketball player ever!!! Adelman runs a complicated offense whether he has the personell to do so or not but it was said he just didn’t understand basketball, not the spacing, defensive principles or even the language. This was after being drafted by the Celtics and cut a few years later, they said stuff like high post or go under the screen had no meaning to him. Nobody said wheather it was drugs, like alcohol, weed, syrup or even harder stuff but think it was something.
