Georgios Papagiannis Update (Rated #1 Prospect In All Of Europe)

I have been writing here about Georgios Papagiannis for 2 years now. I want to give another update.

He is now 16 years old, and comes in at 7'1" tall, with a 7'6" wingspan and weighs 240 pounds.

He is set to start playing AAU basketball in USA in the fall. He is rated as the number one prospect and talent in all of Europe.

Here he is at age 15 playing in the world under-16 championship:

I can't wait until someone

I can't wait until someone drafts this guy in the second round. He'll be really valuable to a team who wants to stash a pick and save some cap.

You two should swap digits

for a Greek double-date. You bring him a sheep and he'll bring you a goat.

He is not the #1 rated

He is not the #1 rated prospect in all of Europe. According to one website Eurohopes.com he is the best prospect in his age group born in 1997. Two different things.
And also there is no way in hell he has a 7'6'' wingspan.

I like him as a prospect but you should really stop spreading lies about greek players to promote them.

His wingspan was officially

His wingspan was officially measured at 7-6 by NBA teams genius. This at age 15. So YES, his wingspan IS 7-6, or at least it was at age 15.

He IS rated as best prospect in Europe. Big Euroleague clubs like Panathinaikos and Real Madrid were going to start a huge bidding war for him, but they did not because he signed to play AAU basketball.

This is the YOUNGEST PLAYER EVER to play in a fully pro league in Europe.

Show me the source of the

Show me the source of the measurements. Cause his arms look really short in the videos.

As I said he is a very good prospect but no he is not rated the best prospect in all of Europe. Who says this? Is there any official ranking system or whatsoever that ranks all prospect in Europe? No.
There's just one unofficial scouting website who does some kind of ranking and there he is the number 1 rated player in his age group but not overall.

Mario Hezonja debuted 29. 3

Mario Hezonja debuted 29. 3 2009. his first profesional game vs Cibona for his native Dubrovnik, scored 7M 3 pointer over Alan Anderson. He was only 6'1 at that time

neg me, but please tell me how steven adams is going to have a better impact than Papagiannis his first season in the NBA, Adams looks like another Cole Aldrich for the Thunder basically.. They should have drafted Olynyk, they needed post scoring, why didnt they just select him, that's a bad pick, they are in win now mode what the hell.. They need a greek GM thats what they need

This kind of dialogue between EB and GB is very disturbing... I don"t manage to follow everything.
Too much schizophrenia.

Looks like a good prospect.

Looks like a good prospect. Not the most agile 7 footer I've seen but he's got soft touch, good hands and a strong base.
I'll look forward to watching him in the states.
