SiggyParticipantI can understand the sarcastic comments cuz it is euroballer, but this kid is a really good prospect. one of the best big man prospects in the world. as soon as he gets accustomed to ball in the US, he should be a staple in his class’ top 5 rankings.

druneave3ParticipantDoes a nice job of keeping the ball high, probably because everyone he is playing against is under 6’8. Shows great touch but every shot shown was uncontested.
I didn’t watch the full video because I was falling asleep so I have one question. Can he run or jump? Looked like he struggled to dunk and required maximum effort at 7’0 on some of those. The rebound at 5:15 where he got a rebound over 3 smaller gentleman he did a good job of getting the ball at the top and had arm extension but his vert was around 20″

SiggyParticipantHe’s not a good run/jump athlete but what he has is a huge base (just look at his anchors), can establish and hold his position, has good hands, soft touch, already shows an understanding of how to pass out of doubles and he obviously has some skill as far as putting the ball in the hoop.
How good of an athlete is Jahlil Okafor? He’s the consensus best big man in HS despite not being a great run/jump athlete. This kid is a legit 7’er as well with the frame to be huge in his prime.0 - Posted on: Mon, 08/26/2013 - 1:47pm #837091

benny15ParticipantI completely agree about your opening statement. He looks like a smart big man since he knows that nobody is close to his size and keeps the ball up. Has a nice feathery touch in the post and a decent baby hook, particularly like the arc he gets on his shots.. I do believe that to have a much better idea on his game, we would need to see how he fares against players with similar or better size and built. What he was doing n the video reminded me of hadadi in the fiba aian cup who was unstoppable because he was bigger and stronger than everyone else and never brought the ball down.

JoeWolf1Even if he isn’t a good run/jump athlete, the fact that he shoots the hook that well as a 16 year old is only going to help his cause. I haven’t seen a guy that young have that kind of touch and post moves in a number of years. I like his game, and normally guys only get stronger and more athletic if they’re a little undefined as teenagers ( Marc Gasol, cough cough )
