C_MoneyParticipantWas anybody else able to catch this game. It wasnt the most impressive offensive game, but it was a great opening to the SEC/Big East challenge.

C_MoneyParticipantYeah the Sims baseline dunk had me in shock it happened so fast. Too bad he coughed it up the second time he tried to do it.
If Sims can play like this all season, he def can be a second round pick. Clark really has impressed me so far with his play. His 22 tonight carried the team and he looks like the scorer that he showed flashes of in his previous 3 years.
I also give it up to Tony Mitchell, he was impressive. I havent seen him play much, but I liked his game after watching him tonight.

scoutguruParticipantIt was a good game to me. Impressed with both teams on the defensive end. Both teams played gritty and with a lotta heart and are very long and active. Sims and Clark stepped up big as the senior leaders on the road for that young team. Big shot by Thompson as well, seems to be playin more confident as a junior now. Green and Mitchell did their thing but they need a 3rd consistent scorer to emerge so that they can avoid going on those horrible droughts. They think the freshman Lacey can step up and be that guy, but he’s still feeling his way out, so we’ll see. Two tourney teams, for sure. Both of their teams freshman will only get better.

FastAndFuriousParticipantI know he might not be a NBA prospect, but Jason Clark got GAME! And NEVER gets any love.

TRC1991Participantfinally someone gives jason clark some love… the guy is a damn good basketball player, and nobody can argue that. I think there are a number of NBA teams that could use a formidable solid-shooting point guard to bring off the bench

C_MoneyParticipantClark does have game. It just sucks that he is a tweener. He is about 6’2 with an nice jumper. He does have a nice handle and a large wingspan. (i think 6’6-6’7) He just lacks the elite athleticism other prospects have. He does have all year to get on a national radar, as he can even push for first team All-Big East with his current pace.
Thompson’s shot tonight was crazy. Its amazing the difference a year makes, because his shot last year against Mizzou with seconds left on the clock ended with a much different result (airball that a teammate fortunetly got to an in rhythm Chris Wright) He has a very sliky smooth jumper and he has improved his basketball IQ in his Hoya tenure. I think testing the draft waters last year got him focused on what he needed to work on.

JNixonParticipantThe reason Clark isn’t a prospect is because he plays like a 6’2 175 swingman. If he was at least a combo guard he’s be more formidable, but he plays like a SF/SG and at his height that doesn’t fly for an NBA prospect.
