I’m a Jazz fan and I’m curious to know how fans of other teams value Jazz players in terms of draft picks.

I’m mainly interested in the perceived value of Hayward, Favors, Burks and Burke, individually.  However, the whole roster can be considered.

For example, if you’re the Sixers, what player or combination of players on the Jazz roster would you need in a trade for the #1 pick?  Similarly, if you’re the Lakers, Celtics, etc. who do you need to trade your lottery pick?

The Jazz don’t have enough to get #1

So for the Celtics, I’m only giving up the number three pick if I either get Jimmy Butler or DeMarcus Cousins. I used to be willing to give up the pick for Jahlil Okafor, but Bender and Murray both intrigue me more than Al Jefferson 2.0.

For the 76ers, I only give up the pick if I get a bonafide starting PG. Anything else(short of a superstar) isn’t worth the potential of Ben Simmons. Jazz could only offer tier 2-3 G’s and/or Derrick Favors. Not enough to trade the number one pick.

And for the Lakers, I would keep the second pick unless it was for a straight up superstar(DeRozen, Durant, LeBron, etc.). Because I have tons of faith in Brandon Ingram’s potential as an elite player 3-5 years down the road.

As a Celtics fan, I’m listening to an offer of Hayward for the #3, but I need a little bit more.

Hayward is a FA after next season. I’m waiting for him to become a FA to grab him for nothing in trade. Stevens and Hayward have a good relationship it’s not often you get a chance to play for your college coach in the NBA. No doubt in my mind Hayward will be a Celtic at some point.

Overall I dont see the Jazz being very active in trades.

Hayward is one guy that could be on the trade block. Contenders could really use him and hes a free agent after this season. If the Jazz season falls apart…expect them to shop Hayward.

Jazz wont trade him cos theyre the Jazz tho, and my guess is that he leaves for nothing.

Trey Burke improved enough to be worth a 2nd round pick. Demand for him is low.

Favors, Gobert and Hood are all worth lottery picks.

Exum and Burks have too much injury history to really be worth anything, although Exum has the most upside on the roster.

Trey Lyles played to his draft position. So a team might want him tor a late lottery pick.

Gobert is going nowhere unless Boston make a great offer.

I see the Jazz packaging #12 and Burke to get a veteran.  A offensive minded big or a veteran point.

2010 Draft……… & then let Milsap & Jefferson walk in FA…….people forget how Highly regarded Deron Williams was back then & it took Major stones to trade him for Favors……..

I’m Still high on Dante Exum & Rodney Hood is a Stud……. as is Hayward, Favors & Gobert…….

but if I was Phila there is Nothing anyone could trade for that #1 pick…….. I believe the supposed Luv for J.Murray (who I do believe is a Stud) is just a Smoke screen in the hopes that Dunn (who Phila Luvs I am hearing) falls past #3 so Phila can swap Noel or Okafor to Anyone for Dunn…………..

If I was the Lakers & or Celtics I would be open for Business……..

for Example I would Def do Gobert for the #3 & I would try to get a Rodney Hood or Burke added or even Exum……. Celtics are Desperate for Rim Protection & Perimeter Shooiting……… If they acquire those 2 things Boston will Contend for the East…………….

And if I was the Lakers I would at least Listen…….. when they work out Ingram if they Absoluely Luv him ….. then obviously the #2 pick is untouchable………. If they are not thrilled then they can listen to offers………. but I don’t see it……….

I Really Luv what Both Phila & L.A. has going on w/ their young core…….. Ingram w/ Russell, Clarkson & Randle is nice…….. & Simmons w/ Embiid, Saric & Okafor is sweet……….

Sorry mate but trading Deron Williams was a necessity, not a bold move involving great foresight.

Jazz had a good thing going before the leagues most infamous coach killer sent Sloan packing. He set the franchise back 10 years. Williams even threw a ball at Gordon Haywards face as a rookie during a game! The team had to trade him!

Nothing gives me more pleasure as a Jazz fan as watching Deron William have a hugely underwhelming career.

Also…none of those Jazz scenarios you mentioned are happening.

The Jazz had Millsap and Jefferson in situ got Favours via a trade and then drafted Kanter. They got nothing back from Millsap or Jefferson and minimal return for Kanter so they didn’t handle that situation well.

Gordon Hayward might fetch a good package but to move him I feel they would want a guaranteed high pick not a package of mid range picks which a contender would offer.
