His team is so trash. I don’t know how Romar couldn’t get a athletic wing player and a mobil 5 men in this past recruiting cycle with Fultz. Fultz is a phenomenal talent, but you can’t win by yourself and you can’t win with an incompentent coach that don’t know how to adjust his rotation, the way he puts together his roster, and gameplay. This past recruiting cycle they didn’t offered really anyone other than Fultz and Peyton Pitchford and they didn’t try to get the top grad transfers. I only see two, maybe three players that would be rotational players on top teams, that Thyblle, Crisp, and Dickerson. The others are just watch.

It’s a bit frustrating to watch because you know he’s talented and want him to win because he didn’t just opt and go with the regulars. But I get why top players go to the powers now, they can coast to March Madness and they can play for competent coaches. I believe he would’ve been better off by going to a place like Miami or Indiana.

Fultz commited to Washington because he knew he was going to have the ball in his hands a lot.. I dont blame him at all commiting to Washington.. I dont think a lot of coaches who were recruiting him where willing to allow him to play at the usage rate Romar is allowing him to at Washington.. All that being said hes shown the ability to score, but like I said before in Gonzaga thread he needs to slow down the pace and organize the offense so the team can establish  some sort of half-court identity.. He certainly did that tonight, his teammates actually were very efficent vs Nevada..

We’ll see how it turns out, being an exceptional talent on a terrible (foreign) team.  Brandon Jennings is doing OK, I guess.  Simmons got hurt, so nothing defintive there.  IMO you’re better off going to a place that knows how to coach pros, because it’s clear that you don’t even have to start to get into the lottery (see Devin Booker).

They gotta let go of Romar. Recruiting won’t ever be an issue. With or without him Huskies owns the Seattle talent pool and always will. This team has talent. Noah Dickerson is degressing. he hasn’t blocked one shot. Crisp is a zone buster and can really get hot. Fultz is one of the most talented freshmen I’ve ever watched. To be fair they have lost to some good teams but the problem is how they are losing. They are getting whooped.

Fact is Romar isn’t going anywhere. Next year Micheal Porter and his dad are joining the Huskies and they should be able to recruit Trae Young as well which has got to be a tournament bound team. if that team along with Crisp, Dickerson and whoever else they bring in cant make the tourney they gotta fire Romar.

I agree, they should just fire Romar and let Porters Dad coach.. that way Washington can really hit all the marks of being an AAU Program.. All thats missing is the players dad coaching the team!
