Fultz

Brett Brown and Colangelo just said that Fultz is restricted to just shooting in the paint. They won't let him play until he can shoot from 3. They hinted that he won't play until next year. They traded a lot to move up and pick him. If he doesn't play this year where would he go in this years draft. Does he have a chance for ROY? Would he be a top 5 pick in this years draft?

He already played this year

He already played this year so ROY next season is out. I think I would still take his upside over Lonzo Ball but if Boston said we will give you Tatum straight up...I'm taking the wing. I will say this draft has a couple guys in Markelle Fultz and Jonathan Isaac who may benefit from sitting out the remainder of this year and starting fresh next season. Sitting out hasn't hurt Simmons and Embiid seems to have adjisted to the league quite well.

Maybe this is a trend we are starting to see. Personally I am tired of seeing 18 year old prospects wash out of a mans league in two or three years. As much as we want to see these kids play and help our teams so we can project their greatness or forecast future team success, we also must realize they are basically kids barely old enough to vote with tons of money in their pockets. Going from being the man to being a role player is not something every player can adjust to in one season. If this works then maybe teams utilize the G league for development purposes like the AHL is for hockey...let the great ones play right away. A good GM will know it when he sees it. Hardest part is convincing owners and fans of what is best for the player.

This is PRECISELY why there

This is PRECISELY why there needs to be at least a 2 year minimum for draft eligible players. Too many kids have one decent/good year, get drafted on "potential" and never pan out 'cause they weren't that good to begin with and it water's down the game.

To be clear, I'm not hating on the kids. If someone's willing to pay 'em they'd be fools to not come out.

No, no they won't. No one

No, no they won't. No one buys high then sells at the lowest point. Not even Coangelo is that dumb.

Can you post the link. Good

Can you post the link. Good for Philly to finally come out and tell the truth, Im not sure how long the Philly supporters would buy for that lame shoulder soreness injury excuse. If he could help the team he would be playing with shoulder soreness as long as no structural damage was there. Kid just cant shoot.

Absolutely won't play until next season or until he can shoot from 3. Not really news. If you watch footage of him, it's a common sense answer. Free throws and short pull-ups are fine, anything else and he clearly is not strong enough to launch without a heave

Except we seen him shoot all

Except we seen him shoot all last year. Obviously the shoulder issues have caused him to alter his shot.

Yeah something obviously

Yeah something obviously happened between pre season and the regular season. He can't go though, so why play him? He's 19, he'll play when he's ready.. and he'll take half a season to get back to it once he starts, but he'll be the player that made him the #1 pick

The reason he can't shoot

The reason he can't shoot from distance is clearly because of his shoulder. He has been shooting from 3 point range so I'm not sure what they're talking about that he can't but when you do see him shoot from there you can see he clearly has a hitch in his right shoulder, like a stutter in the motion. The Dr.s I've heard talk about the injury say that makes perfect sense because it's an injury that can have very long lingering effects. You have to get the elesticity back in your shoulder basically.

Colangelo has been Unavailable to the media since the Okafor

trade 2 months ago - now during the Eagles 1st NFL Title parade since 1960 this scumbag comes crawling out from whatever rock he was hiding under to announce that Fultz is Not injured but he has to Rebuild his Entire shot but has No answers as to Why Fultz has to rebuild his entire shot & that basically he is out for the season which Everyone already knew

Now let's get Honest - Colangelo has been a Disaster in Phila - ALL their players who are actually good are Sam Hinkie players - The only players Colangelo added are washed up, old & non athletic. They have No bench & olangelo's Draft picks have been Awful

Colangelo is currently hiding b/c he's trying to get to the end of the season & praying he can sign a splashy free agent to make people forget about the "Fultz Disaster"

Instead of having a core of Tatum, Embiid, Simmons, Saric & Covington plus a 2018 Lakers Lottery pick & a 2019 Kings Lottery pick in their pockets - instead Colangelo burns a 2017 #1 pick on a mental patient player who if the Draft were held today would NOT even be Drafted in Either round PLUS one of those other 2 Lottery picks.

Danny Aigne Fleeced Billy King & Kobi Altman but those 2 have Legit excuses - King was Forced by ownership & Altman was Brand new & probably Also forced by ownership. Colangelo is a complete moron who proves Everyday why he was bounced out of the NBA for 3.5 years & could Not even get his phone calls returned b/c he was so bad in Toronto.

The bottom line is Sam Hinkie was stock piling a very scary group of talent & Lottery picks in Phila by gaming the system. Silver & a Lot of people around the NBA were Furious & wanted revenge. So how do you Ruin an NBA franchise but make it LOOK legit??? You inject the Colangelo Virus directly into the 76ers Blood stream.

If Sixers ownership does not fire Colangelo Immediately they'll be right back in the Lottery in a few years. It might already be Too late b/c I don't know how you survive throwing away 2 lottery picks & picking a flat out Bust #1 overall in the deepest Draft in Years - the T-Wolves landed Jimmy Butler by just Swapping the #7 pick for #18! W/ that #3 pick Colangelo could have landed Butler or PG13 or maybe even Kyrie Irving.

No NBA Franchise can survive an incredibly dumb AND arrogant person in the main Leadership position in the Franchise.

I have never liked Bryan C...

The way he got his job with the 76ers-Snake move... His dad took over the role then he declined it then put his dumba** son in the role instead(simplfied version events of things).

Was what hinkie doing right maybe not but at least he was honest about it vs Bryan C the lying sales man.Hinkies Plain Tank until you get that franchise player then you start the rebuild..If you look at it I can't name one good player Bryan C has added to the team(Reddick is a kind of Meh move as they did need shooting). Embiid(hinkie) Simmons the pick that got you him(hinkie) Saric (Hinkie) Covington (Hinkie) Heck traded players and got you picks and the players-See Dario for Elfrid I got traded for 2nd round pick Payton deal for what I mean..

The way he handled Noel and Okafor-Bordering on incompetent...At least hinkie would have gotten you a pick not given one up SMH...

The Futlz pick though is the hard one to fully call just yet because if we are Comparing Embiid,Simmons and Futlz path to the NBA Embiid and Simmons both at least had one season to watch the game and get used to it vs Futlz who at least played some games and we will never know what happened if it was him,his trainer, agent or Coaching staff that made him go all random..Because if you look at summer league his shot and game was very similar to College so what ever happened between then and the start of the season has me worried..

Sorry but its the Lakers 2018 pick or the Kings 2019 unprotected pick if lakers pick doesn't fall in a certain range not two 2017 picks for Futlz.... The 76ers better hope its the lakers pick in an average draft(I see it similar to the 2016 to be fair) this year as the 2019 Kings pick is probably going to be a better option for their rebuild ...

Very interesting points by

Very interesting points by you all especially Beastmode - if Philly had put that 3rd pick into play what sort of proven player might they have got back. I'd have ruled out PG13 as he has all this Lakers bound stuff around him but Irving and Butler could have been legit targets.

I agree a player shouldn't play if he can only shoot within a certain range unless it was a peak D-Wade type guy. Seriously though if a player is carrying an injury and even if like Fultz they may be more an inside scorer he could still do more damage by playing as there will be a time where he could instinctively launch a 3 pointer or long pass.

If there is something wrong with the shoulder, I would say get it fixed unless it will be something that will heal naturally with time.

If he isn't a natural 3 point shooter then that can be worked on, he was drafted for different attributes to his game. But if his shooting mechamism is effectively "broken" the 76ers need to work on sorting it.

re-work his shot

you rework his shot by following what Steph Curry said Dell Curry made him do. Steph wasnt allowed to leave the paint until his form (notably for Fultz his legs!) returns to normal. Any shooting coach can point out 5 things wrong Fultz shooting form, but he wasn't always an orthodox shooter (Klay Thompson) as it is.

I posted earlier a video in which his form looked decent so I asked when would his return be, being that he looks better in the paint. The Sixers answered it (during the Super Bowl mania) by saying they'll wait until next year.

As a fan base we should really be losing our patience at this point with the front office. Noel Embiid Okafor Simmons Fultz. That is 5, now 5 rookies dealing with nagging injuries. Add in Korkmaz with his.

As a fan we should be losing patience with the coddling the Sixers do of these players. Embiid was tired of it, told them he's ready to play, is tired of the media, that the team needs to trust him, and go from there.

Fultz should never have to hear his coach ever insinuate its a mental block. Dumbass Colangelo's master plan was to send him to Kentucky and have them diagnose it, then his diarrhea of mouth self said "its healed he has no pain"... you have to wait it out and see how he's doing before you say "look Sixers fans I sent him to Kentucky and now he's healed".

Fultz pressure is greater than Simmons. Only Embiid can relate to the amount of pressure he's facing. I really hope the kid gets it together. Its really tough thinking about three blown picks by the Sixers during the process...

But I think thats how it works. You will not always hit. The Sixers were very lucky to land Embiid and Simmons. There is no guaranteed success in tanking.

Unfortuantely we got trigger happy and thought triple threat Fultz was the ideal pair. Weren't all that interesed in Kyrie because we thoguht we had our triangle.

Anyways,,,it would be nice if dumbass Colangelo would wake up. There were so many players that could possibly have helped the Sixers. From a defensive and toughness standpoint Jae Crowder would have been a nice fit, maybe Tony Allen.

From a 3 point shooter standpoint Malachi Richardson or Marco Belinelli (who just got released) would've been nice options but of course Toronto (guard heavy Toronto), picks up Malachi Richardson while our dumbass GM would rather run Jerryd Bayless out there for valuable veteran minutes

D Wade no telling if he'd come but how nice would it have been to have a guard that can get his own shot late in games? D Wade would have been a great mentor,,,not Jerryd Bayless. Not Trevor Booker.

Colangelo needs to wake up. Lou Williams could have been had last year and now signed for 8 million a year.

We need some real talent here. Hopefully Brett Brown is more involved in personnell decisions because this team needs to identify solid free agent targets.

The Sixers are beyond drafting for fit now. The next level is now bringing in the right Free Agents...and Colangelo abo&$#%#[email protected]!ley whiffed during hte trade deadline. Plenty of hlep for cheap.

Anyone Cleveland picked up could have helped. Hood, Clarkson, even Nance. Crowder. Wade. IT. Channing Frye. Bellinelli. Richardson. They all could have helped this roster more than Jerryd freakin Bayless.
