RUDEBOY_ParticipantESPN’s Chris Brousard is reporting a that Brandon Roy told TrailBlazers Officials that he or Miller must go..Roy says his career has suffered since they’ve added Andre Millere..He says that he’s a slow guard and putting another slow guard next to him with no outside shooting skills..Makes it hard for him to drive to drive into the lane becuz the defense doesnt respect Miller’s shooting…And he doesnt have the ball in his hands as much as he did before Miller joined the team…Portland is denying Roy ever gave them an ultimatum….Roy apologized to teammates for his comments after a lost monday against the Grizzlies..Miller said he and Roy were kool..But you can tell their relationship has become frosty….It might be hard for them to trade Roy becuz teams know about his knee…And Portland loves Miller becuz he’s productive, reliable and provides leadership and they dont have a replacement…

fastdanParticipantI use to really like Roy, but these last few years it seems like all he does is complain…Anyone agree with me?

magmo68Participant…the way B. Roy has looked in the last few games he is no position to demand anything…except maybe medical retirement…

delfamParticipantThe PG is supposed to have the ball in his hands, he controls the team, look at a guy like Rondo, on offense he has the ball in his hands 90% of the time. Roy just needs to learn how to play off the ball, cause no matter where he plays the PG will have the ball.

IndianaBasketballParticipantMiller is quite different than Rondo though. Rondo is a pass first guard. Miller is a dribble dribble dribble and then either pass or shoot kind of guard.
I agree with Roy somewhat, though he should be better playing off of the ball.
And at this point (about to take off three games for the knee which will never get better), he shouldn’t be demanding anything. I don’t think he’s physically capable of carrying the team like he used to.

MuggsyParticipantMiller is a very good pure point, I really don’t think Roy has much room to talk especially with his injuries as of late. If I was Portland I’d trade off Roy before his play/injuries potentially become worse and his value drops even more.

JNixonParticipantBrandon Roy needs to work on shooting, posting up, and moving without the ball. The Blazers aren’t going to win big with him being hurt and trying to dominate the ball. He needs to develop a game better suited for off-ball play. It’s too hard for the Blazers to be a true contender with him not being willing to re-invent the way he plays. It would be beneficial for both his health, and the Blazers chances of being a contender if he developed better ability without the ball in his hands.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantAre the Blazers done?
Lamarcus Aldridge is at a stand still and isn’t getting any better.
Brandon Roy’s injuries seem to be keeping him from reaching his potential.
Greg Oden didn’t work out.
Marcus Camby and Joel Pryzbilla aren’t getting any younger.
Rudy Fernandez didn’t blossom into a solid sixth man as predicted.
Jerryd Bayless was traded.
Andre Miller isn’t getting any younger either.Have the Blazers hit their ceiling?

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe Blazers are in trouble. Their future is no longer bright.
They *could* make the playoffs this year and possibly the next couple of seasons, but I no longer think a championship is in their future.
