NbanflguyParticipantI picked all four #1 seeds in the final four and i hate myself for it. I think No one is taking out Ohio st or Kansas. I hate Duke, but they should have Irving back to 100% by the sweet 16 and Pitt is the worst #1, but they have by far the easiest path.
I know its only happened once, but do you think its possible this year? I know i hate myself for picking all #1’s, but i really think it could happen.

NbanflguyParticipantYeah I found out about Belmont a few days before selection sunday and they were my team. Then they had to go get paired up with Wisconsin! O well i am still sticking with them.
I do think Wisconsin could beat Pitt though and Make a final 4 run, but i Love Belmont and am sticking with them in my bracket

butidonthavemoneyAran_Smith has Belmont with a first round upset as well.
I’m not a Badger fan, but I’m oddly confident in Wisconsin.

jeff416ParticipantNo, it wont happen this year. The last time it happened, those four were by far the best teams. This time all #1’s are very beatable.

NbanflguyParticipantYeah its going to be a real cool game because They are polar opposite teams. Belmont Forces turnovers to get extra possesions and wins, but Wisconsin doesnt turn it over at all. Jordan Taylor has best turnover to assist ratio in the whole NCAA i think.

BasterdInABasketParticipantI have Kansas and Duke (Im counting on Irving being somewhat effective or else I would go Texas or SD State) in the championship game. I personally dont see Pitt winning three straight tough games (Butler/ODU , Wisc/KSt & Fla/BYU all being possibilities(, just not enough depth. I sort of went on a limb in the east and took Syracuse to beat OSU. I was a little hesitant since they could easily lose second round to Xavier or Marq. But as for OSU, I have the Cuse beating them because of their actual big men. Sullinger hasnt really faced a legit low post matchup all season.
I guess four 1 seeds is possible but we’ve been hearing all year about all the parity and that there arent any great players or teams this year. Im hoping we’ll see something similar to last year with teams coming out of nowhere and lots of upsets.

HaleParticipantIf Wisconsin loses I’m screwed too. I have them in the Final four as well. I don’t think the number ones are good enough this year to all get to the final 4.

NbanflguyParticipantYeah i think Pitt is without a doubt the worst #1 seed, but i dont think they will lose to ODU, I actually have Utah State being their matchup in the sweet 16 in my bracket and Pitt should get by them, and then i have them going up against florida in the elight 8. I really dont like florida and they have no business being a 2 seed in my opinion. It would not shock me if they lost to Michigan state in the round of 32. BYU also is not the same team without Davies, I love the Jimmer, but i am not sure.
Ha i love upsets more than anyone and Love cinderella teams. Loved the George Mason and Davidson runs! Thats why i am shocked i came to this conclusion. I originally had Texas beating Duke, but Irving should be 100% by then ( Coach K says he is 100% right now).

SwatLakeCityParticipantyeah, we got some Wisconsin love. Yipee I have them as my final four team as well from the Southeast bracket. Pitt always does poorly in the tourney no matter where they are placed. Great regular season team but not a great postseason team though. (Much like Georgetown) Wisconsin is my cinderella team btw.
Duke should make it to the final four especially with the expected return of Kyrie Irving. (I actually believe that Duke will repeat as champs now because of Irving’s expected return).
Kansas should make it as well. The Morris twins will be pretty tough for any team to stop except for Ohio State, Duke or UNC, and even those teams will have a tough time doing it, but the key is they can all do it, the teams that Kansas will play in their bracket have no shot at stopping the two headed monster that is the Morris Twins.
Ohio State has the toughest road to the final four in my opinion. Its possible that they make it and if they do then I would expect Sullinger to beat out Irving as the #1 pick this year as well as Derrick Williams or Perry Jones (If he hasn’t done so already) But, unfortuntely I don’t think this is possible because we all know that Ohio State had a tough enough time as it was winning the Big Ten, this bracket will be ten times tougher then the Big Ten tourney team was. You got a former and possibly again cinderella team in George Mason, the rejuvenated and scoring backcourt of Villanova, the always NBA ready team of Kentucky, UNC who is recently coming on and will be very tough to defeat for any team. That whole East bracket is just stacked top to bottem with tough teams. There is no way that Ohio State makes it out of their alive, and if they do I will be very surprised. I have UNC making it to the Final Four in the East bracket thus setting up what should be a very exciting matchup between the storied rivalry of Duke and UNC.
My Final Four teams are: Kansas, UNC, Duke, and Wisconsin with Duke repeating as National Champs.

esperanzafleet69Participantirving back to 100% by the sweet 16??? u kidding? achilles injuries are very serious… i think kalin lucas probably fully recovered midway through the season this year from his achilles tear in the tourney last year… irving definately will not be at 100% during any point of this tourney…

NbanflguyParticipantuh Irving doesnt have a achilles injury…..

konqueredParticipantI dont think UNC matches up well with syracuse if they meet in the sweet 16. UNC is not a good 3 point shooting team and their guards will find it hard to penetrate the zone as cuse is an excellent help defence team (which was how duke was able to stunt their offence in the ACC tourney finals, by playing good help defence). Of course if barnes goes for 40 then yea UNC will advance.

NbanflguyParticipantCall me crazy, but i think Washington could Take out UNC in the round of 32
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/16/2011 - 8:21pm #510605
konqueredParticipantIts very possible. both teams love to run and it should be a high scoring game that will be very fun to watch but UNC should be able to handle washington’s press relatively well if washington falls into an early deficit. I just think overall UNC is better than washington at this point.

NickWayne87ParticipantIf I were kyrie i’d sit out the tournament. His draft stock has nowhere to go but down…..he’ll be in the top 5 anyway if he doesn’t play, if he comes back and does poorly even if it’s just because he’s out of rhythmn for not playing the whole year it would only hurt his stock.

lmj5509ParticipantThey will loose to this good Belmont team. Wisconsin is a different team away from home

OhCanada-ParticipantIrving is really back? Repeat…
0 - Posted on: Thu, 03/17/2011 - 4:59am #510630
Ghost01ParticipantWisconsin sucks away from home. They put up 33 points theere last game. Theres no way in hell they are going to the final four. Pitt is going to win that bracket by default. Kansas is the best team in there bracket by far, and Duke should win theres as well. Even if Irving isnt a major factor, where are they gonna lose? Texas has beeen horrible lately and Rick Barnes never wins tourney games. Uconn is a one man show that would be going for there 10 consecutive pressure game win if they get the to regionals vs Duke, which just isnt going to happen, and SDSU is a nice story but who have they beat? I think OSU, however goes down. Too many good teams in that bracket for them. They arent a unstoppable #1 seed, they are a solid 1. Kentucky is going to be super hard in the S16, and even if they get by them i bet they lose to Carolina. UNC Is my fourth pick.

PlatypusParticipanti got purdue in the final 4, they have experience and seniors who could have declared but came back just for this, they’re going to play there @sses off
my rest are the #1 seeds though
