OK Caws Dawg. Cleveland

OK Caws Dawg.

Cleveland wants to keep Lebron James? Really? Let's see how they did that. In the Midseason, they added to good players next to LBJ. You could have got Richard Jefferson, Josh Howard, Ron Artest, Tracy McGrady etc. You keep Wally and got nothing. You win 66 games and almost got swept by Orlando : A team with a PG who been on like 4-6 teams (Alston) a guy who couldnt get burn in GS (Pietrus), A SF who could not defend or drive (Lewis) a PF who can slash (Hedo) and a C with 1 or 2 post up moves and shoots free throw like Wilt (Howard)

Ok, So you lose...at least there's FA and the Draft right?

WRONG! You go to the draft with the 30th pick. You have the chance to add players like Mills, Budinger, Sam Young, Blair etc and you take...a high upside player? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? THAT DUDE WAS ON RUBIO'S BACKUP TEAM!!!!!

Then you add Shaq....a man who is over the hill who can give you 15-7 but cannot run nor defend the Pick and Roll? You add Shaq to a PG in Mo Williams who got eaten up by Rafer Alston (again, a player who got traded like 3-5 times) Good Job.

Now, Artest, Odom, Ariza and Hedo are on the market....you add NOTHING! Noone wants to go to Cleveland and Ariza says Lebron is staying in Cleveland.

Lebron denied it the morning after....... you can give him 100 million dollars but Cleveland cannot attract FA and will not get any one to come there.......

Im Done, say whatever you want.

we could've gotten Richard

we could've gotten Richard jefferson? really, their GM came out and said 2 teams inquired about Jefferson at the trade deadline, one team wanted wanted Milwaukee to throw in picks to take the contract off their hands and the other, he didn't want to trade inside the division.....(Cleveland and Milwaukee are in the same difference, what a coincidence....)

we could've gotten Josh Howard? really, what team did he get traded to? I didn't realize it was a 3 way phone call between Ferry, Cuban and you....

we could've gotten ron artest? see Howard, but replace Cuban with Morey..

we could've gotten McGrady? I didn't realize he was traded, but I did realize he got hurt and didn't play the playoffs, just like every year..... yeah, Danny Ferry didn't trade for a guy who got hurt, what an idiot...

draft day? yeah because rookies always make impacts on playoff teams..../sarcasm. what did our draft have to do with anything, 30th picks always make immediate impacts..../sarcasm again.

Shaq can't defend? i agree he can't guard the pick and roll but Shaq can't defend? thats funny....

and Artest? dude's options were between Cleveland and LA, and it's been no secret that Artest has always had a love affair with LA, not to mention they just won a title, he picked a title winner over a title contender, happens often.

Ariza? the kid got his ring and wanted to be a starter and a star, not just a role player. he has been in Kobe's shadow, why would he turn around and go to Lebrons shadow, he has a chance to be the #1 option in Houston, he'd be the 4th option in Cleveland.

hedo? I didn't realize we had like 11 million dollars to spend...

Odom? he'll sign for more than the MLE....

and then Ariza's camp says Lebron said he's staying, Lebrons camp(NOT LEBRON) denied it the next morning.... like i stated, Ariza had nothing to gain or lose by saying it but Lebron's camp wanted to keep the staying/going thing alive because in a business, you never tip your hand early.

anything else you think is right?

CavsDawg you have to admit

CavsDawg you make some good points but you have to admit though that Cleveland just hasn't given LeBron near enough help. Also I am probably wrong but I thought Gallinari & Chandler will still be under contract in the 2010-2011 season. Also Lee may not get paid near what people are thinking so it is possible for the Knicks to re-sign him and still get two pretty big stars. I am not saying the Knicks have an all-star supporting cast I just think they are better than Cleveland.

Cavs Dawg do u think

Cavs Dawg do u think Cleveland is winning a title this year with that roster?

Do u think adding Shaq pushes them over the Edge? A man who cannot run or DEFEND THE PICK AND ROLL?

Mo Williams who got his pride ripped from him by RAFER ALSTON?

Are they Winning a title?

i think cleveland has done a

i think cleveland has done a pretty good job with getting ok talent around him each year they add something and they get better..all it will really take is one more player because the role players they have are really good role players...reguardless if he stays or go to ny though he has zero chance to win a title anytime soon and possible in the future with how good and young or primed portland and the lakers are....i just see others teams that have better peices then what ny or cleveland can have unless they add a amare or bosh...even if they add a boozer or joe johnson or the other free agents i still cant see them overtaking these other teams

PG- ???

PG- ??? Douglas
SG-Chandler/Douglas/Almond
SF-LeBron/Gallinari
PF- Bosh/Hill
C- Lee/Hill/Milicic/Curry

That would be some serious talent surrounding LeBron (even if they didn't get Bosh they still could add some other good free agents) Not to mention whoever they add through the 2010 draft. Obviously they have to find a PG. New York will have enough talent around LeBron to seriously contend for a title. Plus Nate Robinson may even still be a Knick. Those players sure look a lot better than West, Gibson, Mo, Varejao, & Big Z.

wow how much money do you

wow how much money do you think the knicks would have..check out the pay roll...you still have currys contract and al harringtons contract is nothing to sneeze at either..nate is gonna command a rasie and lee is gonna get near 10mill a year...sorry that will only work on nba 2k unless i added up something wrong.....new yorks players do have better stats but that has alot to do with dantonis offense...i dont know lebron but im guessing hes smart enough to not be too hapy with a team that just wants to run and good and not play defense which we all know dantonis teams dont do...someone made a very good point..his way is not gonna win you a championship ..the only title it will get you is the nba's team scoring title...they scored points last year but couldnt stop a ymca team which is another reason they sucked

PG- Sessions/ Douglas
SG-Johnson/Almond/ Douglas
SF-Chandler/Gallo
PF-Hill/ ?

knicks..though that line up

knicks..though that line up is flashy it not nearly a title contending team..is weak downlow also..howard would love to play against that team ...and there no offense down low..yes hill might be a ok player in a coupel of years but in a year im not buying him being that significant of a player..why does everyone keep forgetting al harrington..lol..is he a free agent after this year?

2009

2009
RESTRICTED
David Lee
Nate Robinson

UNRESTRICTED
Chris Wilcox

2010
RESTRICTED
Joe Crawford
Chris Hunter

UNRESTRICTED
Eddy Curry (P)
Chris Duhon
Al Harrington
Larry Hughes
Jared Jeffries (ETO)
Darko Milicic
Mouhamed Sene

Am I missing something? It seems the Knicks would have a ton of money. Also Gallinary & Chandler won't have to be re-signed yet. Also the Knicks system would be fun to play in.. Players love to run & gun. LeBron will bring some defense to the team.

All right, lets get to the

All right, lets get to the point
if you can play in the pits of Cleveland or the best city in the world (NYC) where are you going to play? Add in the fact that NY will have a bigger stage, a better team and its obvious to where Bron will be in 2010
Why waste your time rotting in the pits of Cleveland when you can go to NYC
who will cleveland have by then? mo williams is about it
knicks have chandler, hill, probably lee, douglas
and he will be able to win championships, something he wont do this year or ever if he decides to waste his basketball life away in cleveland

Lebron

I'm neither a Knicks or Cavs fan but I am interested to see where Lebron decides to go. I don't think his statement to Ariza can be taken seriously - its a recruiting ploy on his part. If he was really serious about staying in Cleveland, he'd have declared that in public and not to someone he's just trying to get. I don't think Cavs fans can trust that Lebron will stay until he actually signs a contract, or at the very least, declares it publicly.
