 In this article, Flip states that teams passed on Michael Jordan because they were drafting on teams needs and not by best player available. He then stated the Timberwolves are taking the best player available. Am I the only one that reads into this as the Wolves might take Russell? Obvious the wolves need a big man, but many people consider Russell the best player in the draft and best star potential…Maybe I’m crazy!

I know Flip has a lot of pressure on his shoulders to get this pick right, this is the only shot the Wolves have ever had at landing the Best Player in the Draft, and not by trade either(Wiggins)

 0% chance they take Porzingis. Way too much of a risk when you have the 1st pick with 2 sure things like Towns and Okafor. I would be shocked if they took Okafor, but I guess I’d give it about 5% chance.

They just done working out the 4 players everyone expects to go in the top 4. And the real hype we heard about in this state was when Towns was in for his tryout. Not much was said when the other 3 were in here.
I just think when KAT came in to work out, he blew them away with his workout and meeting over dinner and meeting with the coaches.
Yes Flip was big on Okafor but I think he’s going to take KAT.
I can see KAT working real nice with Wiggins, LaVine, Bassy, and the rest of the young guys.

 Houston went BPA in that draft with Hakeem.  You can confirm this by the idea that they had Sampson, who was still viewed as a center.  Blazers went for need with Bowie.  Basically only one team passed over Jordan by trying to fill a need, not "teams."
